Is Germany a traditional strongforce in the winter Olympics? It would be cool if they upped the Americans on this one :D

Germany has been doing really well at both Olympics in recent memory. And even though this wasn't a direct contest, they did beat out the U.S.

The US traditionally doesn't do that well at the Winter games. This medal count was actually pretty good, I believe the best in a long time at least.

To be fair, Canada had more overall medals than Austria at 24. That list ranks by gold medals.

Always nice to beat Canada at winter sports, especially seeing as how their country is one giant winter sport. :D
