I also met Sasha Cohen a few times when I lived in Lake Forest. She skated at an ice rink in Irvine/Costa Mesa along with Naomi Nari Nam (who now skates pairs but didn't make the Oly team this year). Sasha is every bit the ice queen that you see on TV, so I wouldn't call her a friend... she was a bitchy little snip, but you could tell she would grow up to be pretty hot. :)

haha, i remember when i was little i would go see people training for the olympics in irvine too, there were quite a few good looking girls there. (even though i was like 9 when i was there i could still pick them out of a crowd lol)

Watching the opening ceremonies now. The parade of nations delivered, as always, major entertainment. Africa and the Caribbean gave us a few one-athlete nations--go on, Algeria!! The opening ceremony was very techno, lots of flames, rollerbladers, people dressed up like the Alps. I also liked when they choreographed the skiier, made up of lots of people, shifting positions. The kid that sang the Italian national anthem lip-synched, but she was still cute.

Maybe I'll have a date for the next Olympic opening ceremony. :( Oh well, it was fun anyway. :)
