So, how'd you get it??

Mine is actually really boring. Sapphire has always been my chatroom nickname, so I just reuse it cause its easy and rememberable to me. If I'd had any idea how much I'd be on this site when I first joined, I would have used a more suitable handle, like Manchester Dynamo Diva or something.

Anyway, I first got the name when a boyfriend of mine set up my first online chatroom. He was so proud of himself: "I named you Sapphire because of your beautiful blue eyes". Poor guy; my eyes are actually gray/green. He tried though, I guess.

It's the name I use on every forum and in my email but I'll break it down anyway:

MHT: Michael Hanna's Team

WINS: Wins

11-3: The score of an Angels game I went to as a kid, a tribute to the funnest game I've ever personally attended/my best childhood memory.

Zinn is one of the few people left in the political world that I actually like.

It just throws in the founding year of the club that is part of the club badge.

It was brought up in an IM conversation years ago (for some random reason) and just stuck. I believe it has something to do with a burial pit or something, but honestly couldn't tell you. Sorry to disappoint everyone with such a boring story. :(

Mine's a tribute to the 98/99 United team, and one of my best football memories. It refers to when Fergie got knighted after the CL win.
I was initially gonna go with Rorschach which is my username everywhere else.

Not all that interesting, but here goes...

FIFA - I hope to work there someday, so that way I get to go to those cool WC games for free! :D

Ray - Hmmmm... this was a tough one... luckily my real name is Ray, so it all worked out.

007 - There's a literary and movie character named James Bond. He goes by 007 as well. I'm a big fan. So there you go. What? Wanna fight about it??? :p

One of my favorite albums ever, though not the top U2 album IMO. I couldn't call myself "Joshua" now could I?

My childhood nickname.

I originally had registered under the name 'So Cal Ref' which is what I go by on other referee discussion boards. That name was picked because I wanted a gender neutral name since some the guys on the boards can be pretty condensing to the ladies, or they totally go to easy on you if you happen to post some lame ass answer. I had to change my user name though when I signed out one day and BS wouldn't give me my password to login again.

Nah, you're spot on, I for one think it's their best and it's one of my top 10 albums of all time.
When I first signed on to BS and encountered you, I thought you were German. I thought "awesome a German United fan".

Apparently your name is the title of an X-Files episode involving an archelogical dig. Don't think I've seen that one myself.

I wasn't able to use my first choice, "Not Dark Savante's Sock", so I had to come up with something else. I decided to manufacture this entire backstory about being from Vermont. I can't tell you my real background because someone is looking for me. And I've also destroyed those pictures from the meet-up.

I've got to go, I think that's Chloe on the phone.
