Really exciting, edge-of-your-seat story behind my screen-name, there is...

My name is based on the naive belief that the manager of Manchester United reads fans' opinions in random internet forums.

Striker for a position in football (which I haven't played since I was 12 btw I dunno why I picked it but defender just doesn't have the same ring) and CW for my high school WC Warren Central backwards.

One of my favorite albums ever, though not the top U2 album IMO. I couldn't call myself "Joshua" now could I?
I thought you just wanted Attention.

Zinn; you should be proud that because of your explanation, I went on an hour plus search on Wiki and other sources as to who Howard Zinn was.. :D Now, I'm getting his documentary. ; )..
But somehow I still can't help associating the name with you, the poster on BS.. and not the man himself :D
GrodZilla

The history behind my name is not that interesting.. way back in the days I needed a name for my first Diablo character. Since then it kind of stuck, I'm GrodZilla everywhere and for many years I was alone. In the last couple of years i have seen others popping up.. it kind of annoys me ;)
It's also a pun on Godzilla as you all understand. I have always been tall and big and combined with my playing style I was referred to as Monster by my football pals. Hence the Godzilla pun.
Grodzilla would translate into Frogzilla in english.. "Groda" beeing frog in swedish. Frog man would be Grodman etc. So there's a little basic Swedish grammar ;)
So it's a combination of something big and bad with something tiny and not very scary at all. So it's a lame joke... but it's kind of as much as an identity to me as my real name since I've had it for som many years

Now your homework assignment is to go and read "A People's History." Great book.

Gildar is the name of my former soccer team. I pretty much use it for all my fantasy teams. The word in turn, is very simple. It was the name of the street that my friends and I lived on when we were living 5 to a house right out of college. It sort of took on a life of it's own as in "Gildar is going to the DC United game tonight, anyone interested?" It was the obvious choice when the 5 of us found about 10 others and started a soccer and then softball team a few years later. Even though I've since left that team (though it lives on) and joined a new one, I've got mad love for Gildar, partially due to the mystique that no one ever knows what the hell it means.
And Kevin, well, that's obvious, I hope.

The Gildar softball team was playing in a tournament once and someone from another team came up to us and goes "You all are from that Gibraltar team, right?".
"uh, sure, whatever".

Mine is simple, I've been called johno, short for Jonathan for a long time when a friend of mine asked me what Johno meant I said, its short for Jonathan, her reply was, well that's silly you're huge, like a mountain... and thus, Mount killamanjohno (which sounds like mt kilimanjaro) was born.
