So can we get this draft done?

I checked this morning and a few more names have been added to the database, but those from the last few days of transfer activity are still not added.

Thanks Hal, this is more than a little frustrating.

BTW as we near the end of our current tourney (final four at the moment) any suggestions for one more tournament to finish off the Small Rocks season?

Let's gang up against Kopite Juniors with an end of the season King of the Hill Tourney.

It's Kopite Juniors against the highest score posted each week by the other league members.

Or Kopite Juniors vs all our scores together :D

Wow, the vitriol :D

As for me against all of the teams combined, tie one arm behind my back and blindfold me too!

Seriously, my wheels almost came off this week with my Bennett experiment in goal, he lets in four against Bolton and was dropped against Man U. Cudicini is back!

I'd have to say that with Ruud hitting stride and Pires continuing to play like god, that LSG and Kopite look pretty damn even right about now. Could be a great heavyweight battle in the final.

Well thanks, Jay. But I remain unconvinced about my team's depth. We have a few high scorers who happen to be in form right now, but when they don't perform LSG tends to score in the 20's. All it takes is a twisted ankle or a tweaked hammie, and LSG are back in crisis. Kind of like PSG, except that we do have the occasional good week...

Well the 7 year old coach is currently scouring the rosters of other teams looking to strengthen the Juniors squad before the final.

Michel, I assume the "travelnotes" rosters are up to date?

Could be quite the final, my recent scores have been mediocre, so I think I maybe the underdog in this one.

Nice job, Michel.
I'm hoping CYKI gets on the ball and finally inputs the rest of the new signees in this weekend. Oh well, I guess not many of them have played major roles yet, so we're not really missing out on big points or anything.

CYKI has finally updated the player database, excepting 3 players I'll mention below. Here are the remaining draftable players:

Forwards:

Christie, MID, 7.0
Ballesta, BOL, 6.5
Andre, BOL, 5.5

Midfielders:
Eustace, MID, 4.5
Belmadi, MCY, 3.9
Swierczeski, BIR, 5.0
J. Gudjonsson, AST, 5.0
Clemence, BIR, 4.5

Upson, BIR, 4.5
El Karkouri, SUN, 4.2

The following three players are still not entered in the system, as far as I can tell. Did these transfers go through?

Lord-Kangana - Bolton
Doriva - Middlesbrough's Brazillian D-mid

In any case, I'll make my pick today, thus restarting the draft. Here's the order...

Upson came to Birmingham from Arsenal and so did not come from outside of the premiership. I already picked him up earlier.

Oops, regarding Upson. I knew that sounded funny when I was typing it, and remembered you mentioning picking him up. Thought it must have been in the BS league.

Anyway, my pick is for Sommeil of Man City.
Moore of West Brom is OUT.

Brian's pick!

Clemence also moved within the premiership from Tottenham, so he is not in the draft pool.

Brain hasn't made any transfers in the whole season, is he likely to do one now in this draft?

Agreed, I think it should be Michel's turn whenever he's ready. After each person gets one pick, want to just call all these guys Free Agents? I don't see a major need to drag it out for many rounds.

I agree with having just one round. Hopefully we'll get this round done so we can go back to the free for all!

1. Let's officially pass Capt Splarg.

2. That makes it Michel's turn.

3. I want more than one round as I want to pick up someone's cast offs before going back to a free for all.

4. I'm attaching my file on Transfers INTO the Premiership updated on 9 Feb. I put the 6 names without valuations at the bottom. I don't think any of them are likely picks.

5. We have time before the next game week to drag this draft out. So no need to rush.
