As for Emile, he has been very impressive these last two matches. I am taking a wait and see on him, which means someone else might sneak in and buy him before me.

As I have the last pick, I am looking for scraps, discarded unwanted rebellious types fit my team quite well ;)

Sheer brilliance on the kick.
He has finally nailed down a starting role i think...about time.He was an original draft pick for me from day 1, but i was forced to let him go as he was a non starter.
Picking up Beattie and Di Canio makes my front line finally strong.

Midfield is okay as is defense.
I really don't see me picking anyone to be honest.
Perhaps a discarded player at best.

The Yank Mc Bride is simply a steal at that price, whatever wher they thinking when they made that up.
Is it because he's a Yank?
He has been a solid, steady player for them for a number of years and has proven to be (so far anyways) a canny move by Moyes.

I wonder if the postponements due to weather will screw up many players this weekend.

Boro-Newcastle is already off.

It'll be interesting to see how Fowler does at City. I was so mad that Venables didn't take him to Chelsea that I sold him. Next minute he's gone to City and he was snapped up before I could buy him back.

Oh well. Proctor of Sunderland will score a hatful this weekend and all will be well ;)

Is it 6.00 or 7.00????

I'm not sure it's fair that we go ahead with this draft, letting people whose players are available add them already. I'm having a tough time deciding who I want with the #2 pick, as almost every signee has yet to be valued by CYKI. I think I want Ballesta, for instance, but not if they price him at 10.5 or 11.0. So if I draft him and then they price him that high, I'm screwed.

Anyway, with all the last minute transfers today, I think it silly to hold a supplemental draft until ALL the players are actually available.

I vote that McBride not be added to Hal's team until after the deadline. Until then, he can use the free agent market like the rest of us for his one move this week. Is anyone else prepared to make their pick at this point?

No.
I don't see how anyone could make a pick without knowing the price of the player.

Edit.
But at the same time i don't see why Hal can't have his.
I mean we're only playing for shits and giggles and he does have first pick, the players is registered and price is available.
mho

I think you're probably right about this. I guess it's just too easy to be "tough" on the old man. :D

Oh, and didn't you mean to say that Mark is playing for giggles, and the rest of us are playing for shits?

Here are the latest updates, as near as I can tell, of all the Transfers INTO the Premiership. To the far right, if known, I put in the premiershipsoccer.com valuation and position in parenthesis. If you select a player who has a valuation, announce who you are giving up. Otherwise, you'll just take the rights to someone and add him to your team when he comes available in the database.

With the first pick, Trollpop Aviation takes Brian McBride and releases Shaun Goater from MCY into the draft pool.

With BigSoccer's reorganization, it looks like non-premium members can no longer create a chat room.

I checked to see if I could create one at Yahoo and was unsuccessful.

Therefore there will be NO Chat Room for this draft. This thread will have to suffice.

Jay's Peoples Front Judea has until 7:10 PM EST to make his selection.

Clanblue says "No. I don't see how anyone could make a pick without knowing the price of the player.

kopiteinkc says "Don't get me wrong I am ready to go. I am just concerned others are not around. It seems Paul resurfaced so it sounds like we have a quorum, Michel around?"

Captain Splarg agrees with Jay's delay suggestion, "I think this is a good idea."

Michel has yet to weigh in.

Since Jay has not made his selection, I can only assume that this draft is suspended, to be rescheduled whenever and organized by whomever.

Let me know when it's my turn to select again.

Basically, I'm not going to pick until I see values for the rest of the players, or at least the key ones. Sorry if that ruins anyone's moves for this week. Let me know if this is a major problem for anyone. I'm fine with just letting Hal use his first pick to grab McBride, and the rest of us waiting.

As Hal's put so much work in..... let him have Mc Bride..... the rest of you can make your picks and post your line-ups when you're done.

I'll update the teamsheet in the morning and then pick over what's left.

Then I guess it will be a free for all when other players are added to the database.

:D

I agree let Hal have McBride and wait until tomorrow for the rest.

Well I'll make this easy from the LSG camp. I will never be able to take part in a live draft anyway, no longer having internet at home -- and the way my team's performed the last couple game days I'm not changing anything anyway. You can skip LSG if and when this draft takes place, I'll be happy to pick through the remaining scraps once it's all over.
