Bayern are like the Yankees if you like American terminology...not to be trusted and pretty arrogant. They also spend a lot of money, although, in the case of Bayern, it usually works. ;)

This is off subject, but I was curious about a couple of side comments about Bayern.
What exactly is the deal with hating Bayern because of how they do things?
Dude, for years, Bayern have kept themselves on top by regularly feeding off the rest of the Bundesliga. For many years, they openly cheated to do it.
In the past, Germany had the same "tampering" or "tapping up" rules as England and most of the rest of Europe. Bayern were notorious for paying players under the table to either not sign new contracts with their current clubs or getting the player to pressure his current club to take a Bayern offer for him. In the first case, some notable players they "allegedly" got using that tactic were Linke and Salihamidic. There were many more. In the second case, the most notable names we know they got using that tactic were Elber and Ze Roberto.
The problem was that when Bayern were caught cheating, the DFB/DFL more often than not would simply look the other way. In the other instances, they just "warned" Bayern.
When Bayern were caught red-handed by "Bild" paying Sebastian Deisler and Sebastian Kehl under the table not to stay with their clubs and to join them, the other clubs finally demanded Bayern be punished.
I think it was especially disgraceful in the case of Kehl because Bayern's action would have robbed SC Freiburg, a small club struggling in the cash department, a chance to cash in on their best player before he left them for nothing.
If you don't know how that deal went down and Kehl wound up in Dortmund, let's go back:
After Kehl took Bayern's illegal check, he talked with Christoph Metzelder and apparently told Metzelder what happened and that he was having second thoughts. Metzelder took this back to BVB, who prepared an offer to Freiburg for Kehl.
Since Kehl had not cashed the check or signed anything pledging his future to Bayern, Kehl was still a free agent. In the end, Kehl chose Dortmund, gave Bayern their money back and although they had been caught cheating once again, Bayern acted as if they were the victims in the press when the real victims in the matter were SC Freiburg.
Bayern were basically ROBBING SC Freiburg of a Kehl transfer fee. I believe BVB paid Freiburg 3.2 million Euros for Kehl. Still only about half of what Kehl was worth, but had Bayern gotten their way, SC Freiburg would have wound up with NOTHING!!
Now, as all of this came out in the press, it did get twisted to paint Bayern as the victims. Of course, Bayern are Bayern. They are German Football's "Royalty". But if they were truly the victims why was it then that the DFL retroactivally eliminated the tampering rules in German football???
They did it simply to protect FC Bayern Muenchen. The Bundesliga hasn't played on a fair playing level for a long time. And FC Bayern continues to be protected.
That's why many hate them.
Another reason. Remember a few years ago when Beckenbauer was threatening to pull Bayern out of the Bundesliga??
What happened there was that Bayern was caught EXTORTING MONEY from the then Bundesliga TV rights holder Premiere. This was in total violation of the Bundesliga's TV revenue sharing agreement. An agreement Bayern signed, but continues to b!tch about to this day. I think the total extorted was believed to be somewhere between 25-50 million. Again, the other clubs demanded Bayern be punished. Many called for Bayern to pay every cent back to either the other clubs or Premiere. This would have helped put Bayern where they belong. With everyone else. That's why Beckenbauer went nuts and made all kinds of silly threats. But, instead of showing Bayern who is boss, the DFL simply capitulated to Bayern once again. Gave them a small fine and let it go.
Then again, they did show us who is BOSS in German football.
FC Bayern Muenchen.........

I just say "Leistungsbezogener TV Vertrag" .. The New contract is because The Bayern Mafia were howling and whining that the get too less money ...
The old contract secured for EVERY BL Team a fair chance ... now only the upper 6 / 7 have that ... and those addionally get International money
so we soon have no BL anymore but a <censored> bayern league of *censored*

To hell with BayScum. Let's get back on topic.

I can't take credit for that translation........

Whoa...Had no idea how evil that empire was. It doesn't surprise one bit, but to see the list (which I am sure could go on even further) of wrong-doings is a bit sobering. It seems that the interest of the game is lost in the pursuit of winning, which is the case with many clubs out there.
Thank goodness we have clubs like BVB who take responsibility for being fiscally reckless and work on getting ourselves out of debt rather than resort to dirty tricks (which I'm sure we do dabble in, but not subscribe to as Bayern Munich).
Onto Koln and relegating them and overtaking Hertha (If Wolfsburgh can do us a favor...for once!)
We still looking at Degen and Gambino starting? It seems like they are taking their positions and owning them and not letting BvM second guess their inclusion. Very good to see!

Oh, the list does go on. The ones I mentioned are the ones that were either proven or close to being proven.
Some press guys I've either worked with or spoken to are almost certain BayScum made illegal payments to these players I didn't mention before:
Linke, Salihamidic, Ballack, Lucio, and Ismael.
It seems that the interest of the game is lost in the pursuit of winning, which is the case with many clubs out there.
You've got that right. But in the case of BayScum, they love to go on about how much they do for German football and how nobody cares about German football more than they do, yet, when it was apparent that Germany desperately needed a new trainer and their guy was the best man for the job, BayScum refused to let him (Hitzfeld) go and left it up to Bayer Leverkusen to solve the problem. And even then, they couldn't leave the process alone. Even after Uli Hoeness brought out the cocaine revelations against Christoph Daum, BayScum, who cares so much about German football, still wouldn't let the best trainer for the job take over the German team. Bayer Leverkusen stepped up once again with Rudi Voeller.
BayScum are the biggest hypocrites in football.
Thank goodness we have clubs like BVB who take responsibility for being fiscally reckless and work on getting ourselves out of debt rather than resort to dirty tricks (which I'm sure we do dabble in, but not subscribe to as Bayern Munich).
When we were spending money, we "strong-armed" a couple of clubs, but nothing like BayScum has done.
Onto Koln and relegating them and overtaking Hertha (If Wolfsburgh can do us a favor...for once!)
I don't want to "relegate" Koln, I just want to beat them. I want them to stay in the league.
Dude, as far as Wolfsburg goes, what are you talking about? Wolfsburg did us a favor this past weekend when they beat Gladbach 2-0. We drew 0-0 in S#it City (Gelsenkirchen), but passed Gladbach in the standings on goal difference by one goal.
We still looking at Degen and Gambino starting? It seems like they are taking their positions and owning them and not letting BvM second guess their inclusion. Very good to see!
BvM doesn't second-guess his players unless they are complete failures. He leaves that to others. I'm glad Gambino is proving me wrong about playing him ahead of Buckley. I thought Buckley should have been given another shot, but I was wrong and glad I am. I just want the guy who will be best for the team.
BvM is also beginning to subsitute players if they don't convince him they will play well within 60 minutes. I like that. Last year, he was a bit stubborn about substitutions. I think more players are proving to him that they can play and perform. Even Buckley played in a couple of decent crosses against Scheisse when Odonkor didn't play well.
Some are talking about getting rid of Buckley already. I say we keep him. After all, we only paid 425,000 Euros for the guy. It's cool to me if he sits on the bench. Bayern has guys on their bench worth millions.

This could be our weak
Only Hannover won .. most other teams close to us were defeated (like Stuttgart) or only played a draw
If we win, we can get 5th.
SO ... BVB YOU ********ing have to win this one ...

And that's usually when our players crash and burn. When the pressure is on. Let's see if they can get past this problem in Koln. :o

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. Of course, now that 5th place is right there waiting for us, I think that'll make tomorrow afternoon's game all the more frustrating to follow knowing what's at stake. That said, our form since the resumption has been very good, so why the f**k not, right?

I think this team's confidence is higher than at anytime since BvM has taken over. Tomorrow will show us if they're for real or not.

I think they will show how good they are. I think they will destroy Koln, thats just MO...but I've seen teams blow it before....
The Bundesliga has just been so mediocre right now that a hot team (like BVB now) will likely climb many places....I think BVB will pass us tomorrow.

my congrats, old lady - hertha managed to secure one point with nine players on the pitch! as for tomorrow, the pressure on my goats is almost unbearable and it's time for them to show that they can handle it!
back to my original question: any chance to watch it online, or will i really have to listen to norbert dickel on the bvb radio?
cheers, hennes:)
