Speaking of which, my ex finally contacted me back about the message I sent her upon my discovery of her reappearance on match.com. She said that she was nervous about contacting me because she wasn't sure if I was being serious or if I was kidding. Having nothing to lose, I replied, "Both!" She laughed, and that was the end of that conversation.
Later that week, I had found something online that I though she would find funny, so I sent her an email, making some reference to her laughing her sweet ass off, and I haven't heard from her since.

Phishman - are you coming to Chicago? I couldn't remember if you've made an indication one way or the other.
i really want to do it.. but think its best i save that money for when i go to the world cup this summer in germany.. going to also go to amsterdam for a few days, so not sure if i could swing it all in.
love to meet you lot, so its a tough decision.

Yeah, I've gone out with three girls. The first one was actually really great, and lasted about a month, but it was too soon after my breakup with KA.
The second one was two dates, and I just wasn't feeling it.
The third one was a meet up for drinks on a Thursday night. She was not what her picture represented. It lasted about 90 minutes. The ref had absolutely no injury time added to that one.

It's weird. I'm not worried about it from a "Oh, I wish we'd get back together." standpoint. It's more a, "Oh, I hope I didn't offend her." For some reason, that's been on my mind ever since I sent the email.

Actually - and this might sound terrible - it was as if she had posted a picture of herself at 26, but when I saw what she actually looked like, it was a lot closer to 50. Really.
