I know your manager has managed to keep this guy in check, but Mido just held up Egypt's semi final vs. Senegal for refusing to get off the field when he got subbed off and then having a huge argument with his coach. Well the player who came on for him scored about a minute later, so the fight might have been an orchestrated move between the coach and Mido, or at least thats what the egyptians will tell me tomorrow, but I just thought you guys should know

thanks for letting us know, but I'm guessing most have the same opinion as I do - I couldn't care less what he does with his country, or to his countries coach, or whatever as long as he produces for Spurs.

I saw it - obviously Mido is frustrated at being taken off but he went too far. I'm not sure he'd try that with Martin Jol though ;)

Mido would not try that with Jol, if he did he would end up on the floor.

I never saw it but maybe his attitude with his country is wrong, he is the god of egyptian football.

As he is only on loan he maybe staying quiet and keeping his head down but hopefully it wont change if and when we do make the deal permanant.

Mido is a damn furck kid

CAIRO : Hosts Egypt are just one win away from a record fifth African Nations Cup title after they beat Senegal 2-1 in a riveting semi-final.

The 'Pharaohs' will meet fellow Group A outfit Ivory Coast - who they beat 3-1 in the first round - in Friday's showpiece after the 'Elephants' edged Nigeria 1-0 in Alexandria earlier in the day.

However if one wanted drama it was Cairo you had to be in as Mido, who had hailed himself as the 'big man' for this tournament, had an extraordinary outburst at coach Hassan Shehata when he was replaced 10 minutes from the end with the sides level at 1-1.

Those familiar with Egyptian swear words probably had a field day as the 22-year-old Spurs striker ambled off the field in a state of disbelief as Amr Zaki waited to go on.

He had to be separated from Shehata by Hossam Hassan and the 74,000 crowd voicing their displeasure at his antics with cries of 'out! out!' - a minute later they were drowned out by cheers as Zaki headed home the decisive goal.

Mido had to be pushed by one of the staff members to go and join in the celebrations but received scant regard as Zaki pushed him away - instead he and the rest of the squad ran and embraced Shehata.

I watched it live on EuroSport.

I have never seen a pro footballer do that in all my life.

For a minute there, I was ashamed he was a Spurs player, especially the point when Mido walked up to his manager as it looked like he was going to floor him. He had to be ushered away by stewards. :(

The Crappy EuroSport commentator even mentioned that all the stories of him having a bad personality were true. He even called on the Tottenham fans, as if to say; "Look at your player, what a disgrace".

I hate that EuroSport commentator even more now.

I don't think Mido will start in the final against the Ivory Coast.

I hope Mido is embarrassed by that. I've seen more mature 7-yr-olds.

Did you see it Kathy?

For those of you who have just read about it here or in other reports - all I can say is that you have to see it for yourselves to completely understand how stupid he acted.

They'll miss him in the final, that's for sure. I'm not saying they won't win because I think they've got a good chance, but even when he had a bad game like against Senegal he set up chances with his strength and heading.
