Nice one.... I would just make the following changes:
Keepers
Pato instead of Franco (I think if new ones fail us, we can always come back to the old stuff)
Defenders:
Coloccini instead of Burdisso (I hope him to come back into shape, like for qualifs and Confed)
Midfield:
Maxi Rodriguez instead of Marchena (Maxi is rising fast and was great against England)

I did include Maxi bsas. :D
I would include Marchena as I think he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.
Coloccini is a good call although his defending can give you kittens at times. The one advantage he does have is that he can play left or right back or centre half which would be useful if there are any injuries.
To be honest Argentina have a lot of talented players at the moment and I've not even included players such Palacio, Bilos, Castroman, Lucio, Diego Milito, Kily, Solari etc.

Oh, true:o I was looking for him under "Maxi"...
I have never heard of Marchena. Is he playing in Argentina?

Oh, Mascherano I definitely know! Is Marchena his nickname?

No it's not his nickname, it's just that my spelling is crap. :D

I think you need more wing players in the midfield, no?
Bilos and Castroman would fit the bill nicely there.

I do not think Castroman is a good fit for the national team. Bilos can be a good sub.

It's actually quite difficult to narrow the choice down to 23 players, bearing in mind 3 have to be goalkeepers. I suppose you could take 1 less defender (bearing in mind Sorin can play in defence or midfield) and add a wide player such as Bilos.
My own view is that it is the attack and midfield that will a world cup and in particular players who can change a game, Argentina are lucky in that they have Crespo/Tevez/Messi/Riquelme and hopefully Aguero who can do this.

I like the majority of your selections, the only changes I'd make and why are:
1. Gotta have Pato. He may scare you at times but the experience he brings is invaluable plus he almost always comes up big in penalty situations. France never really has done much for me.
2. Drop Burdisso, move Sorin back as a defender first and then a midfielder. His versatility is a good thing.
3. Bring Bilos in as an extra wide player coupled with the fact that he'll make a good tall target on set pieces and likes playing physical.
4. Drop Saviola who really hasn't done much lately. We have enough short fast players to where we can go with someone more along the lines of Rodrigo Palacio. IMHO Palacio is more well rounded as an attacker than Saviola.
One other player I'd love to get in is Gago as a back up to Mascherano. Demechelis is doing a fine job at Bayern but Gago is a true number 5 in the mold of a Redondo. With the posibility of not having Heinze, Demechelis' versatility would allow us another midfielder. If you still feel a need for an extra defender, drop a keeper. Three keepers are nice but how likely are we to need all three?

I agree about taking Palacio instead of Saviola, but I think the manager likes Saviola and he will go if fit. Saviola is a class player, just wish he would get more playing time, because if he is fit and scoring he is a match winner.
Agree about Bilos, he has a physical presence which could be very useful, especially against european sides.

Right, I've had a change of mind, drop Cruz and pick Diego Milito the guy is on fire, good on the ground and good in the air, quick as well.

I was starting to wonder how you guys are not mentioning D-Milito the most inform marksman in the primera as of now. Techinically he is even better than Cruz. A better dribbler and more of a fleetfooted attacker who can play on the wings and as a natural front runner.
Today he has hit a hattrick versus Real Madrid and the game is still on plus all his goals have been terrific, brilliant player. However i like his brother more, Zaragoza`s defensive rock Gabriel Milito, very solid defense marshal.
Saviola hasn`t been playing much but i expect him to start playing regularly, Gago is another excellent player i would consider. I doubt Heinze will be fit but the defence is good for as long as Ayala shakes off his persistent injuries besides Samuel is having a great season with Inter same as Burdisso.
Do you guys think Messi will start? to me he is arguably one of the best talented player in the world, a genius given the things he is doing, definately a starter for any club in the world , i wonder if Pekerman will start him. you guys help me out here.

Messi has to start, the kid is incredible.
D Milito has to go as well on current form.
Wonder how Real Madrid feel about not signing G Milito for £3.5 million a couple of seasons back.

It will never be like that, some of the players listed are still struggling to even make the squad due to injuries and fitness. It is hard to tell what the final starting 11 will be but it will be menacing given the talent Argentina has.

Cruz should be replaced with D. Milito, and Simeone is retiring in 3 matches to become Racing's new manager. Heinze probably won't be fit for the WC, which will free up that slot for G. Milito.
