Without listing five, Oswaldo Sanchez from Mexico is really going to shine; he's world class.

Just wondering, how is Portugal on the keeper front? I heard Ricardo is slightly erratic, while Baia doesnt get called up by Scolari.

Thats right , Keepers is the weakest part of our team.
Ricardo can make great saves but is weak in the air and has tendancies to make bad mistakes, but when he is focused he is good (but not top 5 good). lately has seemed to cut down on the crap,

1. Buffon
2. Casillas
3. Cech
4. Coupet
5. Kahn

Kahn has no business being there, not anymore. I am biased, but I would put Oswaldo Sanchez in the top five.

And well, what happened with the polish guy from Liverpool, is he getting any minutes? he was awsome in the Champions League.

1. Buffon
2. Cech
3. Dida
4. Kahn
5. Van der sar

I agree that Oswaldo sanchez of mexico will burst onto the scene at the WC. Kasey Keller has been stellar in world cup qualifiers for the USA, even though he's getting old, I expect him to be one of the top 5 keepers at the world cup.

yeh exactly, like van der saar has been poor for a while now, but people just put him in because he is a big name.

Jerzy Dudek is the Polish guy from Liverpool, and he has not been getting any minutes up til now, but the first choice keeper (Reina) got a red card and a three match ban against Chelsea, so Dudek will have a chance to prove himself, including a match against Arsenal, I believe. He's very error prone, but as he proved in the CL final, he can be spectacular. He is definitely Poland's best goalie, IMO, but needs to be playing to get the starting spot.

Buffon looks the pick of the bunch.

Cech also is looking good, but will he look as quite as good as he does at Chelsea sitting behind the Czech defence? It's a question that'll be answered at the World Cup. Cassillus is other outstanding young keeper.

Plus you have the usual suspects like Kahn and Van der Saar who are not at their best, but their form hasn't dropped off completely. Dida too can't be discounted.

I think Robinson and Coupet could see their reputation increase at this World Cup, both have just forced their way into their NTs competing with keepers (James and Barthez) for which the sobriquet 'dodgy keeper' was invented; both are decent players with points to prove so neither will be complacent and Robison will be looking at this as an oppurtunity to firmly establish himslef as England no.1 for the next decade (if the longetivity of Seaman and Shilton is anything to go by).

As for Keller he's a very good keeper, but I can't see him showing us more than he's already shown to push him into the top 5.
