I couldn't agree more. With him and Huddy in our midfield, I am sure we have the best passers of the ball in the Premiership.

I think it's about time people start to give credit to Carrick and realise how good he really is. Such a great passer of the ball. So much vision and Accuracy and timing. If he was playing for Liverpool/Man Utd/Chelsea etc... he'd be getting far far more credit right now. Huddlestone looked good too :)

All I can say is that Michael Carrick will look world class when we play opposition in the Champions League.

Just look at how well he plays with the pace of the English game. Imagine him against the sides of the continent.

I for one, can't wait.

But yeah totally agree mate. He'd get a lot of time and composer on the ball, something he thrives on. I really pray to god we get european football next season. Then players like Carrick, Defoe, King, Keane, Huddlestone, Jenas, Dawson, Robinson can really make a name for themselves.

To be honest, with the fixtures we have remaining, I just can't see us throwing it away.

With players like Carrick, Huddy, Dawson, King, Defoe, Keane, Mido, Murphy, Jenas, Davids, etc, etc, I just can't see us folding.

Jinx!

Calling Micheal Carrick brilliant is like saying water's wet, old news, never in doubt and only the mentally deranged would ever question it.

I never had a doubt either, but you won't believe how many Spurs fans disliked him at the beginning of the season.

I was thinking yesterday "I think i love Michael Carrick. Does that make me gay?"

Seriously though, he's top drawer. If he doesn't go to the World Cup then I am a monkey's butler.

I agree Jaymes, it has taken Carrick along time to turn everyone around, he even got 'their's only one Michael Carrick' sung yesterday which is one of the first times i've heard a song about Carrick.

I think the thing with Carrick is he seems to not do nothing, where infact he does do alot.

Great read.

Martin Jol was also on talkSPORT earlier today talking about our Champions League chances and about Jermain and Michael (Carrick).

All the pundits I know are 100% behind Spurs making the final 4th spot ahead of Arsenal.

16 posts in and we are still on-topic. Well done guy's.

PS. Michael Carrick should be the holding midfielder in the England side.

Got that last bit in there to stay on-topic. :)

It's nice to see pundits and the media say nice stuff about us for once. For years they slagged us off but they aren't doing that anymore which is a really nice feeling :).

To be honest, they had every right to slag us off. We were an easy target.

They have nothing to say now.

PS. Carrick is the best reader of the game at 24-years of age.

To be honest, they had every right to slag us off. We were an easy target.Spot on really because a few years back we were a joke, a big joke, but things seem to be getting a little brighter now and they can't slagg us off as much as they did a few years ago. Though we have to keep up the table to make sure they don't come back and slagg us off again.

They still try though. During the Charlton game they tried to suggest that Spurs are capable of throwing a 3-0 lead away with 20 minutes to go, almost praying for Charlton to get back into it. When they scored the Sky guys (alan smith, ol' big nose included) said it was on the cards and we were rocking.

Yeah right.

We were an easy target and up until christmas time we still were!! Alan Hanson and his macho lover Lawro would constantly aim sly digs, but since then Alan has gone on about how much he likes Tottenham and thinks that our transfer policy has been a success, along with the manager knowing what he wants.

Michael Carrick has been an integral part of that.

I kind of think though that he'll end up like Hoddle regarding England. One of the best midfielders, most creative and a visionary yet criminally underused and kind of forgotten about.

When Hoddle played, the team was built around harder midfielders like Bryan Robson (who was always injured). When Hoddle went to Monaco, Platini said it was a disgrace that he hadn't been capped 100 times for England.

Carrick may go the same way unless people like Beckham get out of the way. Gerrard and Lampard are there too.. it's going to be hard. Perhaps a new, and better, manager will be able to do something.

Guus Hiddink, pleeeeeeeeease.
