I just finished my sixth-annual Super Bowl Eve viewing of Any Given Sunday (http://anygivensunday.warnerbros.com/index-new.html) on DVD and am now ready to watch the Big Game tomorrow in HD (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280238), even though I have no particular rooting interest for either team. :D
So how do you prepare for the Super Bowl, both the day before and the day of?
GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

Watching UFC tonight (taping hockey), making guac, tailgating in the driveway tomorrow. Easy.
Your sig should read "Two wrongs don't make a right, but two Wrights do make an airplane, AND one Wright can sure screw up a soccer team's defense." ;)

I pull out the DVD of the Super Bowl highlight films (the 3 box sets NFL Films released last year or before). My favorites? Super Bowl IV (just keep matriculating those films through the DVD player, boys) and Super Bowl XXIII (can't get enough of Lon Simmons on the winning drive -- I actually have audio tape of the entire game with the great Lon Simmons on the mike).
Game day prep depends on the game and my location. For example, this year the game was in Detroit, so I had some hot dogs and coney island sauce shipped from Michigan. Sometimes I lean on the old stand-by pot of jambalaya.

I'm going to have to renounce my status as a male for posting this, but I gotta say, the outlets down in Gilroy were not very crowded at all yesterday.

Thank goodness for those delicious hot dogs! Cuz the game stunk. :D

...and all the grease in the coney sauce turned the kitchen a lovely shade of orange...

I gotta say...after that display yesterday, I am beginning to question why I allow myself to get sucked into the fervor and watch this perennially boring game. Poor play, mismanaged clock, untimely penalties, shoddy performances from the "marquee" players.
At least I enjoyed some of the commercials more this year.
***Bill, can I go shopping with you next year? :D

I thought that was the sunset.
Thanks for the food and the hosting. Well done Spartacus.
