As much as I was intrigued by the idea of having an English footballer of Gazza's (former) calibre on United's side last season, it's clear now that the right decision was made at the time.

Perhaps the events at the Capitol Lounge were just a slice of what to expect with Paul and were a blessing in disguise.

I don't know, but I'm guessing it had to do with Gazza and 1 too many pints.

That's pretty much it. Nothing totally outrageous or anything, but he was enjoying the post-game kind of the way I enjoy the post-game. Good fun and all, but not really conducive to being in peak physical condition. Or peak sobriety.

The club is situated on the edge of the desert . . .
The edge of the Gobi Desert: I'd drink too.

Thank God it's fried. I hate the stewed kind.

Chairman Kaga from Iron Chef:
"The Theme ingredient is..........

BAT!

(Mad fluttering of wings as the contestant and Iron Chef wildly chase and jump with huge nets on poles. )
