New Goal Song Ideas

[REV IT UP]

There's seems to be a universal hatred toward the Goals! Goals! Goals! Song played after every USA goal, and rightfully so. I know some of you may prefer nothing to played, but if we had to have a song, what would you like to hear? It could be made-up or just a favorite song.

While the techno song SandStorm is a bit over used in sports, I think its always a safe bet, and it always has that high energy feel to it.

I like the idea of a loud horn... like in hockey. Have it blast as soon as the goal is scored and then have some kind of upbeat music (i don't really care what) come in after a bit.

Good idea? Bad idea? Mediocre?

I've noticed the hokiness that is that song. It sounded like a folk song that a team from the midwest would use in the 1930's.

Sorry, that goal goal goal song has got to go. It sounds like something you hear at a political rally for x-politician. I would love to be some sort of drum n bass type of song but not everyone gets that feel. I have to think on what exactly I would use, but trust me, anything is almost better than that song they are using now.

I know, Star Wars the emperor's theme song or whenever there was a battle going on. If they played that after a goal and make us sound evil I would die a happy man.... evil evil evil!!! :)

Truth. I've heard athems (Mozart or Bach marches?) played while watching Bundesliga matches and even those sound better in an arena atmosphere.

i'm shocked they are still using that song. i was in frisco yesterday and heard the song about 8 times. before, during the half and after the game... and then after each goal. HOW ON EARTH is this song allowed to be played? It's horrible.

do we, as fans, have any mechanism to request this song be changed?

i know that this song was the result of some fan competition... but enough already. let this song go the way of the blue "flying stars" jerseys from the '94 world cup and become a part of history.

I dunno. If you had the choice to be bombarded with "Goals Goals Goals", "Macarena" or "Cotton Eye Joe" after every goal on Sunday, which one would you have picked?

Slitting your wrists and/or blowing out your eardrums is not a valid choice. :D
