I was watching Comcast (extended basic) this morning in Tucson, Az, and caught a "special preview" of FSW (showing a German league match, Dortmund v. someone). Text running across the bottom of the screen said to call Comcast to subscribe to digital cable and receive FSW.
So I called, and the operator said that Comcast has just added FSW on channel 187 of its digital package.
Anyone else heard/seen this news?

I wish Philly Comcast would add it but I'm not holding my breath.

And by virtue of their continued indifference, Philly Comcast created another satisfied Direct-TV customer. (Don't even miss the Flyers..and as for the Sixers, we'll not even go there...

In Seattle, FSW has been on AT&T digital cable ever since I've been getting it. Let's see if the same holds true now that Comcast is putting its name on the door.

How often do you guys call and ask them to add it? Myself and 3 others in Boston called almost everyday for quite some time and they added it to basic cable.
Just use a different name and tell them you'll get cable if FSW is available.

In Atlanta we've had FSW all along with AT&T but now with Comcast you have to pay an extra $5 a month to keep it (you are purchasing it as part of the Digital Deluxe package). The package also includes Independent Film Channel, Sundance and Fox Sports Atlantic, Central and Pacific.
FSW is definitely worth $5 a month in my eyes but my question to the group is whether any MLS or A-League games are carried by the regional Fox networks.

You won't get MLS on regional FSN unless you have a local MLS team that is broadcast by your local FSW such as FOX Sports Bay Area. Atlanta doesn't have a team, so you'll only get the ESPN games unless you get MLS Shootout on PPV.
I emailed, called and wrote to my Comcast office for two years. It got me no where vis-a-vis FSW.

Dropping Comcast Digital (Willow Grove, PA) was the best thing I ever did. I got DirectTV so I could watch FSW, but overall, it is a much better service than Comcast Digital ever was.

I wish Baltimore Comcast would (re-)add it, but I'm not holding my breath.
