This guy on Perugia has been lighting it up as of late. Any thoughts on him?

Very very impressive. Helped Perugia dismantle Juve with relative ease in the Coppa the last two weeks. My husband (who is normally not one to gush) gushed the other day that "he's as good as Michael Owen". I'm not sure I'd go that far as he has to prove that his current form can last (remember when Antonio Cassano was "the next big thing" a few years ago?). But there is certainly a lot of potential for him. He's only 22 - sort of a late-bloomer in that this is first year in Serie A - but he's fast and skilled and goes for the goal with a great deal of confidence. His Coppa stats (5 goals in 4 appearances) exceed his league stats (5 goals in 17), but I think that just reflects his recent form.
If he continues at this rate, he should definitely get a look with the Azzurri - but you never know with Trap.

Doesn't Juve own him?

Did anyone see that goal against Juve from just inside mid-field? That was class. I hope this guy gets his big break, he can be something.

I just checked and Juve do own him. I would expect him to go back to Juve next summer. But Juve also own Brighi, Blasi, Sculli, Cipriani, Maresca, etc., so there are many players that will want to go back to Juve in the summer. Juve basically have an option on every young talented Italian player.

God, as good as Michael Owen? This guys much better than Owen. Owen sucks. Miccoli is awesome!!! I hope Inter get him. He good be a NT player soon if he keeps this up........ but it would probably be in about 3-4 years or so he'll have to wait for a lot of time with the NT.

He meant Owen when he first broke into the top flight / WC 98. Not Owen on current form.

Keep dreaming because there's no chance Juve will sell him to Inter.
Juve tried getting Perugia to release Miccoli in November, he would have rejoined Juve this January, but Perugia said no. They had him on loan for a year and they planned on keeping him for that year.
At least he's gettting playing time and developing nicely. He'll be a great addition to Juve, especially when we get rid of that loser Salas.

Do you see Salas that bad? I mean he stayed 6 months out with a knee cruciate ligaments injury, it's something similar to what Pinturiccio had, it needs time to overcome the psycological fears.
