Looks like I am gonna lose again.

Last 11 overs my opponent only needs 60 runs with 8 wickets remaining.

I desperately need some wickets to slow him down. :(

Lost by 8 wickets with 2 overs left. :(

Playing my 'backups' in the league match (TIE)

Nice Over here:
End of Over 7: 27-3, runrate=3.86
Hewlett 4-0-21-3
Ellis* 9 (13 balls)
Felix 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Newton b. Hewlett 0 (FOW: 27/3)

6.6 W Hewlett to Newton
That's atrocious batting! He's moved so far towards the off side you can see middle stump and Hewlett hits it!
6.5 W Hewlett to Francis
Oli made a spectacular dive there, not sure if it was necessary but it was effective.
6.4 W Hewlett to Badenhorst
Jags off the seam and takes the top edge of the bat and balloons straight to silly point!
6.3 . Hewlett to Badenhorst
The third umpire will look at the video for this stumping…..Badenhorst's foot was just behind the line, a lucky escape there.
6.2 2 Hewlett to Badenhorst
That hit could have sunk a ship, right off the meat of the bat from Badenhorst. Boteju blows his fingers, that must have really stung.
6.1 . Hewlett to Badenhorst
Flicked around to a diving mid wicket fielder.

Had two really nice catches by my WK with good fielding.

My opponent is out of wickets during over 30...
mcdaddies v Atlanta Mosquitos (209796)
End of Over 30: 102-10, runrate=3.40

:D

Now if only my batters can finish them off!

Batting first, my RR is only around 4 but I've only given up one wicket, so I should make some of it up in the late overs.

Seargeant was gone quickly today, after only six runs on 15 balls.

Everything is going good except this:

3.1 W Edgehill to Robinson
Bowled him Edgehill really bowled a beauty.. oh no Edgehill has missed the high five and Mason has been slapped in the face.

Watch it Edgehill, I'm trying to get that guy on the NT. Don't be slapping him in the face! :p

But right now I have held them to around ~130 after 40 overs and they only have 1 out left.

Beat the current English Cup holders on a TIE. Chased their 45 all out in 7.1 overs.

It would be a much more impressive acheivement if they hadnt quit the game and sold all their players a month ago though!

not a good display by the bowlers.. 278 for 2.. I think I chose the wrong match to rest Owens... this was supposed to be an easy match... hence the tie orders... I'm thinking my opponent played GFI...

oh great... lost a wicket first ball in reply... here comes my first loss of the season in all competitions... yuck.

And that's the end of the match. Atlanta Mosquitos won by 8 wickets.
mcdaddies 102-10

A beautiful reverse swinger by Dempster has left Cuss's bat swinging at thin air. Middle stump takes off like a rocket and hits Best in the leg. Ouch. Or, should I say, Out-ch. Sorry, I'll get my coat.

Boo! :D

I'm defending a total around 240. The RR conceded so far is well above that, but my bowlers have taken four wickets. This is going to come down to the attack, clearly economy is not going to get it done.

Let them get 134-10 in just over 41 overs. Beat that total in my 27th over with no one out.

End of Over 18: 74-3, runrate=4.11, reqrunrate=6.63 (285-3)
Wild 4-1-5-0
Rowe* 8 (18 balls)
Munawar 20 (58 balls)

good total by me on a slow pitch. i put my two best bowlers as #3 and #4, looks like it is stemming the run rate nicely.

Weird, I'm down to their third and fifth batsmen in the order, with two pretty decent bowlers, and they've been surprisingly expensive. Newsome is usually around a 3.0 economy rate but at five now, and Dempster usually comes in around 4.0 and is sitting six.

This deep into the order, it ought to just be a matter of time, but we'll see. Another wicket in the next three or four overs would be nice.

Beat up on a bot. They batted first and were bowled out in 26 overs. My opening batters beat their total in the 10th over.

From the department of "F Allan", I have a proficient seam bowler with competent consistency in superb bowling form on a cracked pitch going for 6 runs an over. WTF?

I won "by 8 wickets". :D
