Dropping attendance, a system where only 4 clubs can compete have caused Serie A to enter a massive crisis. Yet another reason the "modes" French system is King.

4 clubs? More like....three on paper, two de facto.

You're probably right Randy... Juve, Inter, and AC. At what point are the little Italian clubs going to boycott Serie A and its insane television revenue arrangements? You could have Juve Inter and AC play each other 16 times for the Serie A title.

Don't worry, the poor bastards are well aware. Something is going to have to give, and the majority of the "real" Serie A fans are looking for the system to collapse ASAP.

I would love to see that. At least this way we would have some semblance of a league again, while Milan and Juve play their pro-wrestling glorified friendlies elsewhere.
We will allow Inter to stay, though. We need the comic relief.

On a serious note, the discontent Italian fans feel with soccer is due not only to the dominance of the Big Two, but also to numerous other factors. Stadium violence, a worthless federation, etc. Vittorio Zucconi, a highly respected Italian editor/journalist, has written some absolute gems on the subject. I might well share them in the future, though I did already use a couple as my sig lines in the past.

As an Italy mod, I can tell you that it would be very much unappreciated, so please keep your, uh, "national pride" in this forum. Thanks.

Yup. except that with each passing year, there are less and less "real" fans anymore.

This is funny cause a few months back on these boards I got into an arguement with an italian fan who called MLS a financial disaster. I quickly pointed out Parma, Fiorentina, Napoli, Sampdoria and a few others and he quickly shut up. but something must be done to Serie A.
