has anyone seen this ad: http://www.soccer.com/channels/features/freestyle/freestyle.html
i've never seen it on tv [i'm guessing it was shown in Europe], but i think its ridiculously good! i dont understand why other companies like adidas or even MLS has players showing off their skills doing crazy stuff like these. it is so fun to watch [i keep replaying this commercial over and over- i've seen it like 15 times already!] it'd be great to see Zidane, Del Piero, Beckham and other adidas-sponsored players showing of their skills. MLS should do this too. to me, it doesnt even seem like a commercial, just a cool visual treat.
Nike gets my props for this ad and also their More Go one [the streaker :)].

Don't think they ever actually showed it on network television here in the states, but I saved it a long time ago. Without a doubt one of my favorite commercials.

I know I've seen this commercial on tv here in the States. They also have a similar one with basketball players.

There's talent all around - Savion Glover did the choreography, Afrika Bambaataa did the music and Paul Hunter directed.
Of course, the best Nike soccer commercial ever is Good vs Evil with Cantona, closely followed by the Brazil Airport spot.

thats weird, i've never seen this commercial here in the US. it was probably only played a few times. yeah, the music in this commercial is great! it's like shoes squeaking but it sounds wicked good! i really like the part with Ronaldhino going 1 v 1 with the other guy [is that SIlvestre of Man U?] and also the opening move. its kinf odd though how this whole commercial contains so many cool moves but it only ends with Ronalhino dancing around the ball- you'd kinda expect some sore of "grand finale" at the end. that doesnt bother that much though, cause this whole commercial rocks!
MLS should have players doin stuff like this in their commercials, not just game clips.

I saw a behind the scenes of this commerical on FSW, and they said other than Ronaldihno, all the other were look-a-likes to real players.

really??? i hope thats not true, it'd be a major bummer if it was. if u got this link: http://www.soccer.com/channels/features.php?story=nikefreestyle and click on "who are these guys" they have info on the players that "are" [?] in the commercial.
i think its a mix of pro players and "regular people." on that same link above, if you see the outtakes, some are pros [like Totti and Mendieta], while others are people with crazy talent.

I believe this is correct. Read an article on the basketball and soccer ones (about the athleticism of advertising or something along those lines). Mentioned that most of the players were 'off-the-street' guys while Ronadlinho, Mendieta and Totti were the pros on the set. The guy added that Ronaldinho messed around the entire time of shooting hoping to get noticed the way Tiger Woods did with his ball trick a few years back.
