Was subed off at half time for the mistakes me made for the 2 goals and is suffering from a confidence crisis + has been left out of the Arsenal squad for the weekend game

This aint good for England. We can't take a player at the world cup who's has a confidence crisis, not defending properly and not going to play.

Sqaud player now, not sure it really matters. Some people think he isn't fit so that may awnser a few of the questions about his form. Ledley King should now leap-jump him imo.

Campbell hasn't been the same player for the last 18 months anyway. And the only reason he is having a 'confidence crisis' is that he's lost his recovery pace, and can't cope without it.

Even before this incident, we had four central defenders better than him. So what's the big problem?

May not matter. Seems to be hints that Campbell is facing an extreme personal situation, and could walk away from the sport.

To do a 'Sol': Stay for a quick half, then straight off home.

Rumours abound that an upcoming news story may open Mr Campbell's closet, allegedly.

'Bout time, that's been a rather open secret for quite a while.

Wasn't he 2nd/3rd choice defender at the start of the season?

He wasn't fit at the start of the season - and in fact has suffered multiple injuries over the past 18 months. Because of this a lot of people are assuming that, any minute now, he is suddenly going to 'get fit' again and be the same player he was three years ago. Consequently he remains in people's England thoughts despite it being a long time since he managed to play at a high enough level.

But I am certain that the injuries are only masking the real problem, the aforementioned permanent loss of mobility. He just isn't going to be the same player ever again, and so in my mind this incident can only help Sven make the right decision and leave him out of the squad.

It's the area where England are the absolute strongest and deepest in the squad. If he can't play, then Carragher gets the start.

Yeah, well. Still means that the depth chart at centerback hasn't been terribly affected. Let's change it to say Carragher moves up a slot.

I bet it involves Will Young .

anyway ,I see Arsene wengers policy of buying only strikers has paid off now that they are down to the bare bones defensively .
i bet he reacts by buying another 10 million forward .

There's no way Carragher will start for England ahead of King. He's had a fantastic season for Spurs and you only have to look at how shambolic we are without him to know how good he really is. Terry and Ferdinand may well be the first choice pairing, but I think that King has got to be right behind. His pace alone has got to be a big plus.

Seriously, what is this huge problem?

It will be Terry and Ferdinand at the back.

Carragher coming in for Terry if he is out for some reason, and King would likely be in for Ferdinand. I do not believe Eriksson would play Carragher and Terry together, the lack of pace could be a real problem.

The problem is that he might be gay. Apparently, he has always been haunted by these questions of sexuality by the tabloids etc.

I heard he has suddenly realised that leaving the best team in North London was a huge mistake and it has all become too much for him.

If you missed the rather obvious clue above it is rumoured that he's been taking it up the gary glitter from an ex-geordie who now plays at your club

my dads friend brian owns a music shop and his daughter used to teach sol the keyboard. brian always said he thought he was gay. and the fact he was taking keyboard lessons speaks volumes. this was back when he was a spurs player!
