Use Southern Railway for Gatwick it is cheaper and works fine.

I think for BA certain cities fly to Gatwick and others Heathrow.

I think maybe South and East to Gatwick and West to Heathrow?
Sounds about right, I can't find anything from LA to Gatwick, only to Heathrow from here.

Has anyone done a cruise? The wife and I are thinking about doing a 4-5 day cruise from FL later in the year for our 10th anniversary.

I've flown from Kenya into Heathrow twice, from Heathrow to Kenya once and from Gatwick to Kenya once (but that was some years back).

Kenya is south of England so I don't think that's how it works.

I've been on 3 cruises... 2 with friends and 1 with my family. Depending on what you're looking for and what you're looking to spend they can be great fun.. Just bring expandable pants because the unlimited eating can and will catch up with you...

Thanks for being smart but I was referring to the USA. Perhaps I didn't explicate that enough.

I went on a cruise when I was young, 14 or 16 or something. And I had an ok time. Mostly because it stopped in the Bahamas.

But the ship itself is (I'm sure) much more fun for adults than it was for me being a shy child and all.

Food was great though.

Thanks for being smart

Honestly, I wasn't being smart, thought I was helping you guys out with your convo!

My apologies for interrupting another US-relevant-only BS conversation.

Yeah, and that's why we're all here discussing the Manchester United girls curling team from Skokomish, WA.

I'm supposed to fly on the 28th which is still a little over 2 weeks. Depending on how this story goes and, of course the fact that you can pretty much bring nothing on to the plane we'll have a decision to make in a week or so.

I'll post all the pics you want of the scenery.... ;)

The ones you're looking for are staying in my private stash...

******** that. Tell her to calm down a bit and realize that giving in like that and living in fear is exactly what they want. I don't blame her for being worried... I'm flying next week and am a little antsy myself tbh. But tell her to at least take a couple of days to think about it. Let her know that random internet nerds say that you can't put your life on hold for the terrorists. :D

Hope it works out for you guys.

I'm all for going and I know she'll be fine with it but no one really wants this kind of aggravation on their honeymoon...

Achtung you're not some random internet nerd... You're the internet nerd who moderates this forum...;) :p

Hey Jay, please remember to put your styling gel in your checked baggage as that type of stuff is no longer allowed in your hand luggage. Otherwise, it may get taken away and you'll have to suffer through a bad hair honeymoon.

It'll be an excuse to finally shave my head and not need to worry about haircuts anymore...;)

Well I'm leaving for Costa Rica tomorrow... er, well technically tonight. 6 am flight, get to the airport 2 hours early... ugh. Which, yes, means I miss the start of the season. :( Kind of a long story, but originally my friends and I talked about July, which I figured would work perfectly. Then stuff kept coming up for them and we kept pushing it back, and it ended up being a week later than I had wanted, but I had already committed and would have felt bad backing out at that point. Plus, I guess its just the opening... its a long season.

Maybe by the time I get back, Dish will have added Setanta and I'll be able to watch more of our games.
