Playmobil > everything else

I agree. My parents never buying the Piratenschiff for me almost ruined my childhood.

Not mutually exclusive you know... I loved Lego as well. I never really liked Fischertechnik though.

I never liked lego but my father bought me tons of Legotechnik!!!
Of course I was young but I understood nevertheless that he bought that for himself first of all, all that hydraulic stuff, I loved my barbies more. ;)

Well, I guess it's tough when you love cars, football and engineering and are cursed with two daughters.

He mananged to infect my sister and me with football though and I always liked cars.

I see where he's coming from... I have already planned the model railway my kids will be playing with as well. And of course, they will be forced to play with the playmobil piratenschiff, whether they like it or not.

Ahaha. Poor kids. Nah... ;)

The one thing my father loved was building a gigantic doll's house (Puppenhaus) for me and my sister, that's also where my Playmobil figures 'lived'. It's beautiful and I loved it.
The one who becomes pregnant first will get it. *eek*

So remember, if your future kids will be daughters, build one, it will be worth it!
You could even build a railway around it or a tunnel under it - oh the possibilities! :D

I never really liked doll houses... but I guess I will be able to adjust (you can't build a railway around a doll house! it's all on the wrong scale!). Alternatively, I could teach them beach volleyball from an early age.. there's a female hobby I can relate to. Kidding, of course.

Is your sister older or younger than you? I can see that there is some pressure on you.

Cute models.

I was a trains kid when I grew up. Loved trains. When I was 3, my favorite TV program was "Thomas the Tank Engine." Loved George Carlin when I was a kid. It was only when I was 16 or something that I realized who he REALLY was and it quite literally shocked me. Funny guy though. :D

Lego Rocks, if I could in any way justify it I would buy some today...but I'm 30 so it's really out the question :(

I never got the Ritterburg... :( But I had the complete Western city, the Fort and the Indians, which was cool as well. A friend of mine had the Piratenschiff.

I had a lot of Lego as well, but I prefered Playmobil. I liked the fact that you did not have to build the stuff first before you could play. I was a lazy kid...
