in other news, nigeria beat tunisia on penalties and got to the semi-finals in the african nations cup, meaning that we're going to be without joey yobo for a while longer. also, he was captain for nigeria, so good for him

Too bad they didn't make the big one. I would have liked to see him and Martins play.

Stubbs has really stepped up his game since he has returned.....

I hate to admit this, but he has been a great pickup for us this January window.

I watched the game on stream. Great game.

Weir's goal wasn't so much of a tap in as it was an accident. He was in the right place at the right time and a James Beattie rebound hit his knee as he was turning towards goal.

Speaking of Beattie - he's easily my man of the match. He ran his tail off all game - getting open, creating chances, even defending when needed. Great effort.

Our defense, for the first game in a long time, looked really solid. Yobo's going to have to fight for his starting spot when he returns from the African Nations Cup. Stubbs and Weir fell right back into their ways of last year and it was magic. They even made Richard Wright look competent! There was a time in the second half when I know Citeh got off six shots in quick succession that didn't even reach goal because a defender was right in his face. Hibbo also looked to be returning to good form.

Great effort, great result. That's 9 undefeated!
