You need to check out The Howling VII: New Moon Rising. I remembered reading some funny "reviews" of how bad it was years ago, and then this past year it got into some latenight Showtime rotation, and I caught it one time. Fantastically bad in a drinking-game sort of way.
Or, as it's alternatively been called, "The Howling VII: Honkey-Tonk Armageddon -- No Werewolves in Sight."

I'm sitting here grading papers... I was watching (well... it was on) something on comedy central.

I left it on, and now I regret it.

There's a movie on now that forced me to revive this thread again...

"The Sweetest Thing"

This has to be the worst movie I've ever seen.

There are three actresses singing in a restaurant about penises... Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate, and umm.... umm... Selma Blair.

It's just awful.

I'm changing the channel now. I'm not a masochist.

'Man on the moon'. A film starring someone who isn't funny about someone else who isn't funny. There's nothing worse than comedy that doesn't work.

If something's meant to be dramatic or deep it can simply miss the mark and just not be dramatic or deep but if something's meant to be funny and isn't... absolutely bloody cringemaking.

Patch Adams.

My vote prolly goes to:

It's Pat - The Movie
It's gotta be top 10. I saw a few minutes on Comedy Central once, and it was dreadful.

High School Musical,
Um, if you're old enough to log on to bigsoccer to kill time at work, this movie isn't aimed at you. Bashing HSM is like bashing Tom and Jerry because cats don't have opposable thumbs and the whole thing is completely unbelievable.

Sorry, I don't believe that disqualifies it from being horribly bad.

I usually set the bar pretty low for Woody Allen. Don't ask me why, it's just a personal thing, but I cut the guy a LOT of slack.

That said....

Scoop is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Painfully amateurish. It's as if Allen's gone senile, and nobody has the heart to tell him how poorly conceived, unfunny, and horridly acted this film is. Bleech.

Like servotron said, it still does not discount it as being a horrid movie. This is the "what is the worst movie ever" thread and not the "if you're old enough to log on to bigsoccer to kill time at work, this movie isn't aimed at you" thread. That being said High School Musical is one of the worst movies ever made.

Magnolia isn't bad. You may not like it, but there's no way it's one of the worst movies ever made.

My wife just rented "A passage to India" and with purple lipped Alec Guiness and the simpering Dr. Aziz, this flick deserves a mention.

Any flick that would put the great Judy Davis in this situation deserves contempt.
