Just got back playing soccer. Met this Ecuadorian. I started calling him mono and he called me gallina.
I demonstrated why Peru is better in soccer even at the amateur level.
he fuked up some sweet balls I would put for him que eran para gol.

Well does playing with your kid and some of his teammates inoors count :D. Sometimes before his practice starts, well we're in this school gymnasium so we have a lil fool around scrimmage. You know centrito and schitt. With big guys, I might play twice a year. Probably get into a game at Flushing meadows, with some of the dads. If I had time to join a team I would, but dont. So for now, this spring when we go back outdoors I'll look to play more though prob while my kid is practicing himself. Dont mean I wouldnt be able to play the East Coast vs. West Coast game we're trying to get going here :D

With me and Perucampeon. I think we would win. You'd have to bring in some Peruvian ringers.
Unlesss Vipnerd plays for you guys.
Keep us informed on how your kids team is.

Unfortunately, he is getting over bronchitis. Last week he played and scored like crazy, helped his team beat a tough team but after came to me that his chest hurt when he breathed. I mean he runs and plays sometimes outside with me and no complains. I'm letting him take off for probably 2 weeks. Eventhough he dont want too. Doctor said no wheezing and no signs of bronchitis or asthma (thank Gawd). Hopefully its just leftover from the bronchitis. I remember I had bronchitis years ago and it hurt like a mothef* and I didnt even play as intensely as he does. Anyway, hope he gets better soon. But I cant let him kill himself :)

damn, i can't wait til little man grows up.
i even told wifey if he looks good before he hits high school, i willing to move to north jersey to accomodate him at one of the best futbol schools in the nation, st. benedict's prep, whose alumnus include "capt america" claudio reyna, among other national team members....
i "retired" after pulling a mean hammy back in '01, shortly after the 9/11 thing. i went on to pursue other opportunities.
when i was a kid, i was a striker (y surdo todavia) and scored a schittload of goals against all kinds of defenders....the coach said i had great vision for a kid that young....my team's name: freebooters....in-town ball.
when i moved to another town, that was that...it was hard gettin a ride and my viejos were working like donkeys so they had no time.
but when i picked up again after college, i was more on the defender side, since i stand i almost 6' and had that athletic basketball ability, i was able to rough it up and make you pay for trying to score on our goal....
good to hear you guys are out there, repping on the pitch!

So thats a good school eh. I think I'm taking the other route where I'll let the kid get into the best high school he can do to his grades and then tryout for the school team. The kid is so much smarter than I was when I was his age. Kid just got 2nd honors last month and 2 days ago brought home student of the month. This kid is going to make me freaking broke. I promised Metrostars seaons tickets  So Boracho can you still play? I'm only 5'7 on a good day. But I play with all guys over 6ft and handle them with no problemo and can score. Left Strikers that can blast them with the left foot is always good :D. Jlscrub is already talking about he can beat us

it's been since '01 since i played organized ball.
i drink a lot and still toke up once in a while and don't exercise or lift weights, except for situps and pushups several times a week.....i don't eat crap, but i don't ask for a salad and some water at the same time.
watching your calories and all that junk isn't living to me....true, it'll make you live longer....but i ain't like that. but much props to dedicated dudes like scrubby or whoever else is a health nut. i ain't disciplined in that department.
as long as i could still run away from the cops, i'm good.

Nice thread!
I play very often, although not on a real team. I have improved alot recently to the point that, I can talk all the smack I want.
I play mostly mid, I run all over the field, I am indeed pretty fast. My best attributes are vision/passing. I like to give alot of commands on the field too!
Nobody here is from the Paterson/Clifton area? I once played in a nice field in NYC

You are an inspiration
I remember me and my freinds would go play soccer, I would bring a bottle of either Rum/Pisco/Tequila and after we played we would sit-around and drink that shit down. Man good days:cool:

I was playing indoor at school last night.
Had the ball coming down the left wing (I'm right-footed), I give a little toquecito with the outside of my right foot when this ********ing Mexican trips me somehow and I ******** UP my left ankle.
It's the worse sprain I've ever had. I'm in crutches for the first time in my life and it's a bitch to get around school with them.
Damn indoor. Damn Mexicans that play like they're on grass.

Man, you guys make me want to play futbol again :( I was diagnosed with this rare heart disease about two years ago and I havent touched a soccer ball ever since. Its really only a mild case and my doctor even said I could still play but since its a VERY rare case considering my young age, Im not willing to risk my life for it. I mean I dont want to drop dead in the middle of a game  I still have a long life ahead of me and I want to enjoy it. I was totally devastated when I was informed about my heart condition, I thought my life would end since my main goal in life was to become a professional soccer player but now thanks to the help of my family and friends, I can gladly say I am over it. And I have now found new interests in music and music production which I think is what I want to do for a living.

I play in two teams. An indoor team, which is more for drinking team than anything. And an outdoor team which is competitive (most played some college ball). I am the only latino in the team. I play just about anywhere in the field, menos en el arco. But my ideal position is defensive mid!!! a lo davis.

I guess its a good thing that Peru didnt get to the WC. Because I know watching those games would cause heart palpitations.
But then agian you could get Keso to give you mouth-to-mouth resescutation:p He loves doing that:eek:
