Which club, year after year, always seems to have a poor pitch (field)? This year I've noticed Old Trafford, St. James Park, and Stamford Bridge are pretty awful at times. Though I haven't seen all of the Premiership clubs play. And in the other direction, which club or ground consistently has a pretty well maintained pitch year after year?

Old Trafford and St James Park are consistently terrible every winter, the stands are so big the pitches don't get enough light. Highbury's pitch is always very good.

Old Trafford is consistantly the worst in the premiership (not a lot of light gets to the pitch)
Highbury gets better light and they have an amazing groundsman. Always a treat to see the pitch at highbury before a match.

Old Traffords problem is not light, but air. The stands are too high to let a breeze in. Also, the pitch is too thin, apparently. I have family that worked at the company that have re-layed the pitch in the past.
According to family, the pitch at United needs deeper soil, to allow the grass-roots to get a proper hold (Sounds like a funding issue) If the grass was allowed to grow fully, then the pitch would not rip up as much as it does.
