I saw this remark in the World Cup forum and thought you'd appreciate it, especially given the name of the poster (btw, the subject was something like "how would you allocate spots for the World Cup"
I would do the most fare way of doing this. Put all the teams into a lottery and pick them random. Crazy concept isn't it!!! You would have divisions of 6 across the globe. No stupid seeding system. Let's see if the so called seeded teams would qualify!!! I think if they did it this way, we would have new champions everytime!!! Can you imagine a World Cup Qualifying group that consists of Brazil, England , Nigeria, Spain, Mexico and Greece!!
