What went wrong with the striker hunt? Tekke would have been just the guy you need, proviided you create a lot of chances. Beattie would score and would provide power, Tekke would have been quite prolific I think (91 league goals since 2000 and 7 in 8 qualifiers for Turkey).

David Moyes is unable to make a decision. That's the beginning and end of every story with us.

Good question. The website is conspicuously quiet about this; but even if they weren't, I suspect that Davey would trot out the same old platitudes (it's a difficult market, everyone is over-priced, etc, etc).
But I find this a bit hard to swallow, when a team like Norwich bags Earnshaw in addition to two loan signings. I don't know if Earnshaw is worth the 3.5 million or not, but that was certainly within our price range. Maybe that is over-priced...
I'll have to trust in Moyes, as he most certainly knows a fair bit more about the game than I ever will, but it seems fishy...

Tekke or Earnshaw would have done the job.

Couldnt agree a fee with Tekke and Earnshaw.
Tbh i think Moyes and the board are willing to write off this season and save their money and spend it in the summer. Although thell probabily just dither as usual.

Perhaps they figure the squad's good enough to take us through to the summer, and therefore they don't want to spend yet more on wages in the meantime?!

What about that constant link with Viduka? A supposed 'fallout' with mclaren on the weekend, could see a move next transfer period?

I'd be happy with Viduka, but then I like him because he's from my city. :)
