Now that the Rampage are no more - will the new Wave United recieve the Bye from qualifying that the Rampage had?

That's an interesting question. Something tells me it occured to you before it dawned on anybody in Milwaukee or at USSF headquarters.

This was being discussed over at the usldiscussion boards, and someone posted this link to a USL press release:
http://www.uslsoccer.com/press/pub/topfiveshow.asp?ID=82
The press release says, in part:
Upon acquiring the territory rights from USL, Rampage player contracts were re-assigned to the Wave United. In addition, the Wave United will take the Rampage’s place as an entrant in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
So it looks lie Wave United are in. I don't think the USSF necessarily has anything to do with this - it seems to me they granted the USL/A-League X number of spots in the Open cup with entrance at a specific round, and however the USL sees fit to decide their entrants is up to them.

What about the Connecticut Wolves departue from D3/Pro Select League. Does this mean that Long Island Rough Riders still get their Automatic Bid or do they now have to earn a spot as well?

Why would Connecticut's departure effect Long Island's automatic bid?

I'm only asking a question that's all. I noticed that Long Island has Qualifying matches, but I can see now that it's only for their opponents.
