Brazil and Spain swept their groups last time around, but I think their groups this time are tough enough to ensure at least one draw each (I'll say Brazil-Japan because they last time, and Spain-Tunisia as the minor upset).
I think Germany could win their first three games. Perhaps England too if they get over Sweden.

Germany, France and Ukraine.
I tip Germany because of their home advantage and they have any easy group in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Poland. France too have any easy group. Ukraine were more impressive than Spain in qualifying and Spain do have a tendancy to underachieve.
Portugal underachieve too so that's why I didn't tip them and I won't tip Italy because Pele has given the Azzurri the Kiss of Death.

Likely ones, Brasil and Spain. But not written in stone.
I can see Poland working a draw against Germany.
England? Not a chance. I'm no Nostradamus, but I forsee plenty of draws in group B.

I give Brazil a pretty good shot at 9pts, but otherwise agree.

I dont know...Given that brazil is considered threat #1 by most teams, I think brazil will be seeing a few draws.

The question is whether or not Croatia, Japan, and Australia are capable of a draw, even when that is the goal.
Personally, I think Japan has the best shot at it, since Brazil is likely to have won the group by the time they play.

Well, someone actually had the cojones to pick someone from Group C. I applaud your confidence, Delirious (personally, I hope you're right, too). So every group except for Group E has had at least one team picked to take all 9 points. I think that kinda fits with the description most people have of Group E - fairly balanced group, no one's gonna have a cakewalk to the second round. Group C may possibly have someone go 3-0-0, but I still expect someone to win the group with 7 points (my prediction: ARG 2-2 NED). The outcome of that match will most likely determine whether someone gets all 9.
Brazil seems a very likely choice, although I could see Japan tying them. Ukraine may take 9 from their group, but beating Spain may be a very difficult task. Neither Mexico or Portugal will finish with 9 pts. (again, I see 7 pts. for the winner). France could do it, but if they put in a performance that even remotely resembles their WC02 performance, they may just finish second in the group. The English have a good chance, although Sweden is a rather formidable opponent with a strong attacking corps. In my opinion, the best bet may be Germany. However, even that could be foiled if Costa Rica or Poland play a strong match.
If I had to pick 3, it would be Germany, Brazil, and England. But I wouldn't put any money down on that.

England to get 9 points. The last time they even topped a group was 10 years ago which is when they were at home.
