It's my first time trying to post a link, hope it helps.

The article is about baseball teams using soccer-style spontaneous cheering, instead of following what he hilariously calls the Obey-O-Tron.

This is a baseball site for hardcore baseball geeks, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why the writer calls the game "football."

I'm not the kind of person who is going to go "Yippee!!" over this. A rose by any other name yada yada yada. But I do think it's an interesting thing.

His use of the word "football" probably comes out of his having read Fever Pitch.

The guy seems to be an enlightened baseball fan. Kudos to him.

Congrats on your first link, SD!:)

What goes around, comes around.

Back in the old days of boresball before steroids and megabucks, there was Hilda Chester.
