Hi there,

well i was hoping you could give me some more information im told Bruck is on ther other side of the Rhine near the airport - i was hoping you could tell me if you have ever visited here? whats it like - (pubs, clubs, restaurants etc..) how far is this from the centre of koln and whats the best method of transport to use here?

Also how far from the stadium, anything other hints and tips about Koln would be great

I think it would be better to go to the "Innenstadt" (the centre) everytime you want to visit clubs and pubs. Use the train until "Köln Hauptbahnhof" (central station) and then you have many possibilities for a nice evening ;) If you want to go to the stadium: there are several special trains that will drive from Hauptbahnhof to Müngersdorf (this is the station where the stadiums is located) - you need half an hour to the stadium from hauptbahnhof.

The most important info if you like beer :D: There are several "Brauhäuser" (brewhouses) in Köln. They're famous for their beer. I can recommend you the "Sion Brewhouse", which stands in the shade of Cologne Cathedral.

hey smithfan--you're the same guy who posted the stadium photos right? we just booked our first three nites in Koln (6/10-12)at a hotel on 'fish market' street right on the river not too far from the Dom--i'm really looking forward to seeing the city and the rhineland in general. we're staying the 4th nite in koblenz (again on the river :) ) where we'll take a river cruise that someone recommended.

my brother and i are beer drinkers for sure so the Sion is one must stop--got any others?
