Shady/G-unit -The Re-up is nice. Almost every song is good
Lil' Wayne, Birdman - Like Father Like Son is alright. Birdman isn't really doing much, but Lil' Wayne is so talented that he turns the album from being bad to being slightly above average.
Jimmy Jones - Hustlers P.O.M.E.....I love this guys album!
Jay-z - Kingdom Come is well done, and touches on a couple of very sensitive issues, ex: Minority Report.
Fat Joe - Me, Myself and I is a short album, but 10 out of the 12 songs are good. Possibly one of his better albums.
GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE! ******** G-UNIT! ******** LIL WAYNE! ******** JIM JONES and his gay-ass self!

Jim Jones could very well be classified as garbage. But I enjoy his music very much. Just do it attitude...Do what you got to do!

If you say 50 and Em are garbage, well, then you don't really know talent. Cause they make good music, Lil Wayne too.

Most of the Entourage soundtracks do the trick for me right now.

It's good for someone who's not familiar with the band's work, especially post-WTSMG. But there isn't anything new on there if you have the albums. Plus Noel continues to apparently disavow any existence of "Be Here Now".
I hate Noel Gallagher's revisionist history of Oasis. I love Oasis. I have since they first came in, but the way he lambasts Be Here Now and the people who like it is ridiculous. Now that he has superior musicians by his side, he seems to have become some kind of stuck up music pauper (moreso, if that is believable). One of Oasis' main appeal is that they were the working class, not artsy-fartsy, not presumptuous about music, just a bunch of regular guys playing songs and ripping the Beatles. Now, he bought into his hype, has used the poor sales of Standing on the Shoulder of Giants to 'prove' that something about BHN brought him down to size, and now he's this zen-like music maker who has been revitalized. But you know what, a lot of Be Here Now is better than Definitely Maybe. A lot of that stuff is just not as great as Noel makes it out to be. C'mon, Digsy's Dinner?! Some of his best work, to date, is on Be Here Now. All Around the World, Fade In-Out, Don't Go Away. What's wrong with a good rocker like My Big Mouth? ********in' Noel thinks that forgetting what he has done, believing that that period doesn't exist makes him better than us and his brother. It kind of makes me sick.
Long live Be Here Now.
P.S. Why name a ...best of... album by the name of this long awaited song that is supposed to be the greatest thing you've ever written when you have zero intention of putting it on said album? Noel Gallagher, so not rock and roll. Andy Bell will keep him afloat, though.:D

What's the Story was my first purchased album, but Be Here Now was definitely my favorite Oasis. I'm a big fan of their's, but this new attitude really pisses me off. JC7 is spot on, they were just a bunch of average guys playing music, yet some of their stuff is still the greatest music ever. I still love randomly hearing Wonderwall, or All Around the World, Champagne Supernove, etc..because it's great music. This new view of Oasis by Noel Gallagher is qutie ************.

Have you ever listened to Mos Def before? If you haven't I suggest listening to his stuff, then tell me that 50 and eminem are talented. They may have had talent, but it sure as hell is gone now. They've been lost in filtered out rap/hip-hop shit. Mos Def stays away from that.

What should I get for Christmas then to start my collection? I have the first two albums from a friend (I know, I'm sorry I'm going to make up for it). Not STC? What are you guys opinions.

They are worthless. You should try some real hip-hop. Del tha Funkee Homosapien, early Atmosphere, The Streets or like BB said Mos Def. All excellent rappers who aren't pants like 50, Em or Lil Wayne.

To discount the talents of Lil Wayne, Eminem or Jay-Z because of their popularity is just plain wrong. The three of them have moments of brilliance.
Mos Def, similarly, has his moments but can be pretty inconsistent. The New Danger was pretty poor to be honest. Del Tha Funkee Homosapien is talented but easily the most inconsistent guy mentioned. He has released some awful tracks.
50 Cent is really, really bad. But not as bad as Lloyd Banks. My word, he is terrible. Couldn't pay for a decent rhyme and certaily couldn't deliver it. He's quite like Memphis Bleek, in that he would never have had a music career had he not grown up with someone who would become famous. Except Lloyd's superstar childhood friend doesn't have much talent either.
I'd like to add MF Doom and Talib Kweli into the mix...

Talib Kwali and Common are good writers of lines. Jay-Z as well, although sometimes he loses his sense of rhyming for the sake of a story.
I used to love Common, but now I can't stand to listen to him I dunno why.

I love Talib Kweli as well as Common. Mos Def is okay, he doesn't really do to much for me.
