Keane's tour bus is about as raucous as you would expect from piano balladeers. Tom Chaplin admits, "We're prone to the odd evening out and things get a bit wild. But our music is very important to us, and you have to wake up and be ready to go out there and give people a good show, not be miserable and hung over and wasted. It's not a big rock and roller atmosphere. We're not in the back with bags of cocaine."

Apparently they are.

I think Radiohead's National Anthem has every genre of music there is.

I cannot get enough of that song.

Funny you say that, I usually go through periods of time where I'm really into a certain song or an album. Now I can't get enough of the live versions of National Anthem that I have. I just love the radio at the beginning, and the song is amazing. I also recently heard a Radiohead cover of the James Bond theme "Nobody Does It Better" from The Spy Who Loved Me. Absolutely fantastic. Up the Radiohead.

The They Might Be Giants live version...yeah...thats a keeper. I may be exagerrating here b.c Im huge on RH, but I really do think that song is as close to perfection as it gets. The more you listen to it, the better it gets.

Tell me...those James Bond covers...where did you find them?

It's from the Never a Dull Moment CD. My roomate had a copy of it. It has them performing a whole bunch of songs live. Pick it up if you can find it, it's definately worth it.

Thanks to the Edinburgh Fringe, I'll be heading in to see Matisyahu and Muse next week. No doubt I'll see a lot more, work permitting.

:D :D :D

Anyone here listen to Secret Machines? Quite fond of them, their first album had a couple real good songs on it, and their new one (which came out awhile ago, but I'm just giving it a serious listen to now) is very, very good in my opinion. It's called Ten Silver Drops and the songs "Alone, Jealous and Stoned" (!) and "I Hate Pretending" are a couple of my early favorites. From listening to it and the reviews I've read of it, it's a breakup album but it is very well done. These fellas seem to have some real talent. Check it out son!

Like all three of them, actually. I'll check out the other band if they're similar.

Question for Muse fans. Is the riff from Exo-politics 'borrowed' from another song? Its great but sounds familiar.

I don't think it is. I'm trying to recollect songs from their previous 3 albums, but as of right now I can't seem to think of a song it may be similar to. But about that album "Blackholes and Revelations" what is every one's favorite tune off of it? Mine personally is Knights of Cydonia.

Did you see the video for that yet? I'm not into music videos nowadays, but I have to admit, that's pretty darn cool.

No I haven't seen it. I don't really watch music videos unless I feel like watching it over the net. NME.com usually provides some really great footage, and loads of unreleased albums. I heard Kasabian's new album proper from their website. It's great, I love NME.

On that note, I'm listening to The Clash right now and wondering what is everyone's favorite Clash song? It's gotta be "Guns of Brixton" for me.

Muse closed with Knights of Cydonia when I saw them live this summer. Fantastic. They also opened with Take a Bow. I don't know of two songs better suited to open and close a show then those two.

Have any of you ever seen Dylan in concert before? And if so, how much were the tickets?

I just checked his website for the Fall tourdates and he'll be in Maine in November. I really want to take the chance to see him live before he passes away. I don't think I could live on knowing I never saw the great man at one of his concerts.
