More of a Siamese Dream fan myself. But Billy Corgan did go to the same high school that I did. Maybe the cynicism has something to do with that...

I prefer Mellon Collie. I love Smashing Pumpkins, but I met Billy Corgan when I was in high school, and he was a RAGING jerk. Kind of turned me off to the music, especially when they play live. I'm trying to get over it.

Siamese dream was a more well rounded effort i think. Mellon Collie coulda been stripped down to one cd. Still a good listen tho. :)

Now the one I also like that no one else seems to is "Adore". People that consider themselves hardcore Pumpkins fans often don't care for that one. Of course I'm weird like that I guess, because other "redheaded stepchild" albums that came out at the same time like U2's "Pop" and Oasis' "Be Here Now" also rank among my faves. Figure that one out.

Can't say I've heard Adore. Ya might need to burn a copy for me to listen to when I'm out in Chicago and then forget that I have it, so it's not illegal.
