Hey Billy, did you know that Muse are headlining Reading Festival on August 26th and then Leeds on August 29th. Shit, I wish I could go to those shows.

NME is decent, not terrible, but very British-skewed as bestbecks said. Usually I head over to Barnes & Noble and scan Rolling Stone, Q, Spin, and anything else that catches my eye. Also the TV show "Subterranean" on MTV2 is useful.

They're meant to be great live... still, the Oxegen festival's double-bill of Kasabian (outdoors as it went dark) followed by The Prodigy will take some beating in my book. Prodigy would've been the best live act I've ever seen (still by FAR the most intense) if not for Kasabian.

Have you heard their new single? I think its called "Worldwide Suicide". It's just alright, definitely not up to par as compared to their first stuff.

Well, nothing they've done has matched their earlier albums, but I like "Worldwide Suicide" and I've heard another song off the album, "Unemployable", which I also thought was pretty good.

I've got tickets to go see Broken Social Scene, Feist, and Bloc Party at Olympic Island in Toronto for June 24th. For those of you who have never heard of Broken Social Scene they are a very good Canadian indie rock band. They have a very unique sound, I love them personally. And Feist (who is also in Broken Social Scene) is just one female singer named Leslie Feist. Her music is pretty good as well. The show is going to be amazing. it's like an all day festival and you need to take a ferry to get to the concert. I can't wait.
That's going to be a fantastic show. I saw BSS in Belfast a couple of months ago and it was one of the single best gigs I've ever been to - their recorded work doesn't touch their live performances. Feist wasn't on that tour with them () but I'd love to see her live too.

They're great live - they (and the Frames in a small tent) are my only real memories from my first Witnness 5 or 6 years ago, Muse came out after a massive rainstorm so the place was absolutely chaotic. Good show. I missed Kasabian last year but I enjoyed Muse more than the Prodigy (although admittedly, that could all be due to circumstances).

Can't effin wait, PJ is one of if not my favorite band, and I pretty much pick up anything they put out, Riot Act wasn't that great at first but it grew on me. This album will do the same, plus its packed with political commentary.

Only heard them for the first time last night. I was absolutely plastered and forgot the band name, but thanks to a Pool fan (yack!) on the TV, Music & Movies forum I got the name about an hour ago. Good stuff, and I imagine it would really hit the spot during an... ermm... 'chilled' night. ;)
Download their version of 'Money' over iTunes, it's a good taster.
