Canadian posters are getting even worse than US fans

Although Canada has not won anything in quite a while, all I've been hearing from Canada fans here is how their team is great and how their players are so much better than Central Americans. At least the gringos have done some very impressive stuff.

I guess you missed those posts where Canadian fans predicted that Canada would lose to the US, or those threads where people like myself told US fans not to worry about Saturday's game because we were sending a third-string side to the match & were likely to lose?

If there are one or two posters getting up your nose with un-warranted claims that we are the best in Concacaf or something (I haven't seen any personally) then may I suggest you target your comments at these particular people, rather than tarring us all with the same brush?

And I apologize if I have made the mistake of taking your post seriously.

I agree. I haven't seen much of anything that has said that the Canadians were the best in CONCACAF.

The only thing I can even remember that might remotely relate to this is that I seem to remember some poster saying that because Canada has the most players in Europe out of any CONCACAF country, they're the most skilled or play the most technical soccer? Something to that effect.

This was quickly shot down by the many posters that pointed out Canada is pretty much the only country in CONCACAF without a league, and MLS and MFL would have more in Europe if not for their leagues...

I don't think the Canadians have said how great their team is. The only other thing I can think of is that after the announcement of the reallocation of World Cup spots, I believe some Canadians might have put themselves in the race for that possible 4th world cup berth. Which is possible, but obviously their is Honduras, Jamaica, T&T, Guatemala, and even El Salvador that would challenge for that spot.

So these claims come unfounded, could you point out where you've seen this???

And at least Canadian fans can behave themselves and their police stand up to trouble-makers. That's more than Costa Rica can say.

And I'll use the widest brush in the cellar on that one.

I haven't noticed any Canadians (on this board) making any outrageous claims. Most of them are pretty cool.
