FWIW I thought Borgetti showed that he had developed his game when we played Arsenal. He was more involved in the build up rather than just waiting up front. I think his substitution came about because we needed more pace up front, The Borg is even slower than Davies

I think the current system (4-3-3) is looking good and I hope Borgetti scores against Portsmouth tomorrow.

I agree I hope he does too that is unless Sam has a say so on it!

Yes I agree, The Borg has devoloped his game and has become more involved in the buildup of the play. The downside is that i don't see him scoring as much goals by being more involved in the play.

If it's not one thing it's another come world cup Borgetti needs to mix the two together!

I agree.

I disagree

Not with Mexico's style of play and especially Lavolpes attack strategy . Bolton is completely different tactic team than the Mexico National l team .Mexico is a more control atatck pass team , with Bolton being more of a long shot passes as well as passes back and forth . Hahaha is very irrevalant to contrast a nationa lteam with a club team , but theres huge differences between the two.

In mexico scheme of play we have the ful midfield complementing up front as well as a defender or two ,which helps us in being a very attack oriented team . The forwards i nMexico style of play have always been and will always stay up front since we have the Mid field complementing at full . Don't get me worng though there might be some games where that strategy of palying Borgetti more towards Mid wouldnt hurt, But its still not mexico's type of play .

Well the good thing is he will have a couple of months to train with the team before the WC to get back in sync with the National team.

Honestly, this is stupid. Borgetti has finally gotten use to the English game, and was playing at his highest level; Sam is an idiot.

i think he was resting borgetti because portsmouth is very low on the table so maybe he thought it was gonna be an easy win.

Dont jump onthe gun too quick . Let's wait and see what happens on Saturday. Most likely Sam was resting Borgetti as well as Nakata for Saturday. 2 game sin a week can get very exhausting . The team Bolton played today Birmigham is a poor team overall in the League .
