Fergie's quote is classic though... and he more or less based his career on knocking them off said perch.

Have to go with Rooney. Double animosity.

I think those of you who voted for Rooney are under the assumption that he really gets behind Manchester United for any other reason than his own trophy haul. Now that's not a bad trait in itself, but don't confuse that with the passion of a club supporter.

I got to give it to Neville for his heroics last match, but look for Fergie to give a comeback statement before the FA cup match...

I do. I'm probably the only person on Earth who thinks the nuke we dropped on Hiroshima was actually meant for Liverpool and was messed up by some sort of miscommunication.

Bring on the flames and the neg reps :p

Well, I think its pretty fair to say though that the animosity an Everton fan would have towards Liverpool would be as great as a United fan would have. (And yes, when we say scousers we are referring to Liverpool FC here, even though Evertonians are also technically scousers.)

Definitely. Just referring to the 'double animosity' comment. True Evertonians nearly hate Man United just as much as you guys hate us, we hate them, etc, etc.

Anyway, it's all in good fun.

The word Scouse was originally a variation of lobscouse (probably from the north German sailor's dish Labskaus), the name of a traditional dish of mutton stew mixed with hardtack eaten by sailors
