Well the CL ties are coming up again on Feb. 21-22. It appears Pool Benfica will only be shown on ESPN Deportes.

Does anyone have this channel? Anyone know if is possible to subscribe to it if I have the english package of direct TV? Thanks!

I don't believe DirecTV offers ESPN Deportes (like kold suggested, call and ask), but if you're in a grey market (i.e. lots of Spanish-speakers) you can probably find it via one of your local cable companies.

If not, call your local sports bars/soccer pubs. There should be one if your area that carries it. Otherwise, you can always make the drive to LA to watch the game. Tons of soccer pubs here.

DirecTV does carry it, BUT only if you have the spanish language dish. Otherwise best bet with DirecTV is to put down the $12 month they charge for Setanta and get it via them, or go to the local pub if you can. I can't, so the $12 for Setanta makes it easy for me to see the games.

Setanta USA is showing the game on delay at 7:00 EST.

A suggestion is to go to Setanta.com and click on SetantaUS. They have a venue finder that allows you to put in a zip code and they will tell you the nearest venues. Then call them and ask if they have the game. I have to be on business in San Jose for the Arse game on February 14 and I just used it to find 8 prospects for that game.

Thanks for the replies all.

Sus how did you find out that Setanta USA will be reshowing the game at 7:00? I dont see that info posted on soccertv yet, and the setanta USA website only listed this week and next in the schedule. I must have missed it somehow.

Can anyone clarify what exactly the differences are between the home versus pub versions of Setanta? My understanding is that the pub version will just have more live games, while the home version will have the same games on delay?

And yes I checked the site, and yes I'm a moron :).

Also, thanks for the pub advice Liverbird. The nearbest pub is about an hour away but I suppose I could make that trek 1-2 times a month.

Its on the Setanta website. They have PSV vs. Lyon on live, and the Liverpool game later that night.

On Wednesday Setanta has Bremen vs Juventus live, and Rangers vs. Villareal later that night.

Espn is showing Arsenal vs Madrid on Tuesday and Chelsea vs Barcelona on Wednesday.

I just wanted to correct one of the posters above. Directv does NOT offer ESPN deportes as far as I know.
