How long does everyone think it will take to hear from FIFA whether or not you got tickets from the Phase 3 lottery?

We should probably know before the 10th. I'm just saying this because Phase 4 starts on the 15th.

Anyone who gets a reply from FIFA, please post it here. Thanks.

Well if FIFA is anything like US Soccer some of us won't know until Feb.14th, some on Feb. 16th, and some won't find out at all. just kidding

From http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/060126/1/5xci.html

"Successful applicants will be notified by 15 February. Unsuccessful applications who gave e-mail contact addresses will also receive e-mail confirmation."

So, anytime between tomorrow and the next sales phase. I'm pretty much expecting a unsuccessful application notice and it would be a surprise to get tickets.

I expect to hear from FIFA anytime between the middle of next week up to the 15th. The draw begins tomorrow. Maybe someone who scored tickets in earlier rounds can let us know what the timeframes were then.

Got excited when I opended email tonight and saw "2006 FIFA World Cup Ticket Order" subject in my email.

It began "Congratulations! You are going to the 2006 FIFA World Cup! (Or you have been generous enough to make sure some of your lucky friends or family members will go!)". Quickly realized it was from US Soccer and not FIFA. FIFA doesn't even begin the draw until tomorrow the 31st.

Sometimes I still can't believe I scored US tickets. Not holding my breath for the FIFA tickets either jjariyas. That might be asking too much. :)

Anybody else get their US Soccer email?

I received a email from FIFA WC Ticketing after the first sales phase pretty quickly. It was 1 or 2 days after the draw.

I read on the FIFA web site that payment must be made within 2 weeks for applicants who chose to pay by bank draft AND these persons will be notified by mail no later than Feb. 3. The bottom line is that they want the money ASAP.

Of course if you are lucky enough to be allocated tickets and choose to pay by credit card expect FIFA to demand payment immediately. Make sure your cards are paid up or that you have enough credit remaining. The only thing worse than not being allocated tickets would be to be allocated tickets but then to lose them because you didn't pay for them.

Well the draw is over. FIFA says it took 8 hours. Now the fun part begins, the wait. I wonder who will be the first to get a golden ticket and who will open their wonka bar to find disapointment.

Got my successful ticket application e-mail from FIFA. Came in at 21:38:59 +0100 (CET) on Friday, February 3.

I'm in with 3 US packages. The question is are they really going to match peoples names and passport #'s to fans entering the game. I had a guy cancel so I want another friend to use the ticket.

Do you think I going to have to change the info?
