Anyone else kicking around the notion of attending this match?

Aaron and I discussed it a bit last night during the US match.. I had been thinking about it for months and I think it could be a rather pleasant trip.

Where are the schedules posted at? I have family in KC if that's what we're discussing. It's a long ass drive though.

I know mike looked into flights and couldn't find anything that didn't seem outragous

Well, I can always get hotel rooms for 30 bucks a night. We wanted to make the trip, plus make it cheap for all who'd want to go.

How long is the drive, Zak? Longer than my trips to the Carolina Cup?

Anytime you're doing Kansas City this is what I'd do. Leave Columbus after work around 5pm or so, and get to St. Louis. Stay the night in St. Louis, get up nursing your mild hangover and drive the rest of the way to KC. It's about 6 hours to St. Louis, and then about the same from St. Louis to KC.

I just checked Southwest and they have a direct flight from Columbus to KC for $79 each way. I don't know what kind of price you were looking for.

The total for a round trip ticket from Columbus (CMH) to Kansas City (MCI) (3/31-4/2) is $165 on Northwest.

Since I was bored, I looked up some alternatives.

--Amtrak will go from Cleveland to KC for like $180 round-trip with a stop in Chicago. I don't think they go through Columbus, or at least it wasn't listed as an option in their city listing.

--Greyhound will take you there and back for $130 as long as you book at least 7 days in advance, otherwise it is $220. The nice thing about the Greyhound schedule was, even though it takes longer, there are more options, include a Friday night bus that will let you arrive in KC around 11:30am and another departing at 12:30am Saturday night/Sunday morning which will get you home, so you don't even have to get a hotel room.

We're not all alcoholics like you, Zak.

When was the last time I got drunk and set up a kissing both? At every game? Exactly.

What's past is past, my dear friend. Let it go.

And it was surely not every match.

You are starting to act like an obnoxious tattletale.

Is this some sort of brothel or what? If so, great.

You couldn't score in a brothel!
Score in a brothel
Score in a brothel

So how do we know for sure we open at KC?

kaiser kraut

So you admit that you've scored with ladies on land, birds in the air, and whales in the sea?

Zak

Not into whales, clearly.

Well mermaids don't exist, so what are the other options?

Actually it's only about 3 and a half from St. Louis to KC. It's not a fun drive but it's not terrible, I did it when I came to Columbus for the US-Mexico game.

Feel free to come stop by the Cauldron tailgate before the game, or hell tailgate with us, we're mostly good natured friendly people, ask the Dallas fans from our trip down last season. We can compare notes on being some of Hunts red headed step children.
