His groundstrokes in general look better than they have before. I remember watching him back in the day when he was all serve with little ability to win a rally.

Not quite a consistent enough match yet for Federer or Nadal, but pretty good nonetheless.

Great match from Andy Roddick! One of his best matches ever. I don't know if he's got enough to beat Roger, but it should be a good match none the less.

Given their head-to-head, I would say it would be one of the biggest upsets of all time if Roddick manages to beat Federer.

I don't think he will win, but judging by his performances thus far, i think he can put forward a very good showing. Hoping for an epic 5 setter :)

Yep. Once Roddick lost that second set tie break, I felt he's missed his chance to win this.

..and Federer takes the third, 2-1 Federer.

Huge choke from Roddick in the second, then Federer takes a relatively uneventful third set tiebreak. Just the one break so far in the match.

The surface looks awful, especially right around the baseline.

Mainly Federer. No where near standard of shots I've seen him play here in the past.

I think Roddick's played well. Yes, he's hit some wayward shots, but most times I've seen him play he's done that (nothing new). He's played some corkers in this match, in fact I didn't think he had them in him.

Roddick playing out of his mind (except for 2nd set tiebreak where the Roddick you expect to show up against Fed finally showed up). Fed not playing so well, and the court is absolutely ugly.
