XabiJeesus...so soon after that crap..!
I'd like to see Cisse team with Robby for this myself. Looking forward to the match.
The gate revenue has just doubled at Brum.

As much as i would love to see Fowler out there,i doubt rafa will play him from the start.Maybe hell get 10-15 minutes at the end.(going to realy look foward to that!).Alonso is not at his best at the moment,so it would be foolish to bench him,he needs to play.If theres any player who should be rested ,its Carragher, hyypia and gerrard, but sadly we cant afford that.If only garcia was fit!

Robbie will probably come off the bench in the 2nd half. Anfield will go nuts and it will inspire the players to go on and win the game, if we havn't done so already.
I'd like to see Kewell up front with Crouch. Keep Riise on the left wing. Morientes and Cisse have done nothing to warant a place. If Garcia was fit, he would surely get a chance.

It is not a benching -- I simply want him fresh for Chelski. Same reason Momo rests!

I agree with LB. The long season is catching up and some legs will need rest. And we need Momo not to pick up a another yellow. Fowler and Crouch is going to be an interesting proposition.

Nailed it, except for Fowler.
No US TV for this one, unfortunately.

Yeah, that's too bad. The official site might be showing the match on a delay, though I don't know how delayed it will be. Anyone know whether it'll be the entire 90' or just highlights?

Looks as if Kromkamp has a slight knock as has Reina. So there are going to be many changes to the line-up for tomorrow's match.
The depth of the squad is going to be severely tested as we have a mammoth schedule in the next 6 weeks:- after the Brum, we play Chavski (A) on Sunday, Charlton (A) a week tomorrow, Wigan (A) on 11 February, Arsenal (H) on 14 February, the Mancs in the FA Cup on 18 February and Benfica (A)
Hold your head up high,
And don't be afraid of the dark!

PPlive is sometimes a good bet, but recently been having trouble finding a good feed. If I get one I will put it on here. :D

Slow thread, not much speculation or excitement at all. We need three points against a desparate team. Hope we play better than on Sunday.
Oh and score goals, haven't been very good at that lately.

Stan can you educate me as to what PPlive is please? Thanks!
Oh by the way Birmingham is starting a brand new player in the defence to pair Upson. It will be his EPL debut, so if we can't score against a bottom of the table team at Anfield against an untested defence then we are really in trouble :).

We drew this match at St. Andrew's at the beginning of this year, in what was our only non-goaless draw of the season, I believe. And if I recall correctly, it was a totally ridiculous match that we should have won, which is why we better not ******** up here.

I live in the United States. This means I will not see Robbie Fowler's return on live TV.
Let me just say that SKY had better show the return when I turn it on tomorrow. I just know that he has to get on the pitch at some point.

We should be too strong for Birmingham, even if we do rest some of our players (and I agree that we should use our squad depth in games such as this). Hamann could do with a run-out and would not let anyone down, it would also give Gerrard the license to push forward from a central position with Hamann holding.
I'd also stick Carson in for the practice. Birmingham don't have the sort of incisive passers or quick forwards who necessitate a goalie that is ultra-quick off his line (Reina's key quality) so we can afford to experiment there by giving young Carson the nod.
Carson
Finnan - Carragher - Agger - Warnock
Kronkamp - Gerrard - Hamann - Kewell
Crouch - Morientes
Fowler on with an hour gone for Morientes.

Times change, eh?
Matt's line-up looks interesting; it's pleasing that we can actually rest some key players without compromising quality and balance.

Not in England, it ain't. Sky only has the Arse and Hammers on Skysports 2. Bah!
If you're in Southern Africa, though, it's on Supersport 5 or 7 ;)

I like much of this, but last reports have Kronkamp a doubt with a slight ankle injury. Is Agger fit and indoctrinated in the zonal marking on set pieces? I'm not a big Warnock fan. I agree with all the rest. Momo and Xabi should be rested for Sunday, and Dietmar is still a fine holding midfielder. So perhaps Ciise added on the right and JAR at the left fullback.
