After spending 3 1/2 weeks in various Brazilian cities , I come back with the following thoughts:

1- Barnone...absolutly no disscussion about it...100% guarenteed...besides having the best soccer in the world, Brazilian woman are the most beautiful thing on this planet. Especially in southern Brazil. What is really amazing is not just the "quality" but the "quantity". Everywhere you turn your head in cities like Florianopolis, Porto Alegre and even in Rio de Janeiro there are a few beautiful girls walking around, you literally cant go 100 feet without stubbling on about 5 of them. The word is there are 4 women for every man in Brazil.

2- Brazil can easily host a WC, in the last 4 years alone since my last visit the major cities have continued to grow in infrastructure. New airports , roads, interational banks and many new luxary hotels have popped up.

3- When you land in Brazil, anyone that earns in Dollars is instantly 5 times Richer than when they left home. The dollar is pretty powerfull there and my gang would have dinner together (about 7 of us at times), the typical bill would be about $25 to $35 US Dollars total. Thats for 7 people. Thats what you pay in the US for 2 people at an OK restaurant. So would you rather go to a WC in Japan and pay $40 a plate or pay $35 for 7. And the food is very good and plentiful! Hotel rooms at fine beach front resorts were going for about $100 a night, now thats at beachfront view hotels. In the US a room like that would easily be $400 a night, minimal. So a WC in Brazil would be great for turists, there DOLLARS would go a farrrrrrr way. Shopping is paradise there.

4- My American friend didnt want to come back and was actually teary eyed when leaving!

5- I bought lots of official soccer gear from my favorite club Internacional (Porto Alegre), I spent about US$150 and got the following:

- Official 2003 red (home) long sleeve jersey
- Official 2003 white (away) long sleeve jersey
- Team official 2002 Travel shirts both the white & red one.
- Team official 2003 Travel shirt Red
- 2003 Official team workout pants and jacket
- 1 Polo shirts as gift
- 1 Basketball style shirt as gift
- Official away Red team Shorts
- Winter hat
- Video and book with Club history

I think thats it, all in all a great deal. The official shirts short sleeve were selling for $20 while the long sleeve a little more at about $25. All items were purchased at the Clubs official store at the stadium.

Back in the US now its tough to get used to prices...a Big Mac meal in Brazil goes for about US$1.75 ... here around $5...! Wanna se a movie in a stadium seating theatre...$2 to $3. Buy a Mercedes SUV new...US$12,000...and the list goes on....

In serious though it's nice to have you back, I had began to wonder if you were ever comming back.

Are the Brazilian Whores Cheaper than the American ones?

Much cheaper man. Consider what he said about the dollar too.

They're like a dime a dozen. You should go to Copacabana some time Magoo!

- I should add I also scored 3 goals at an Artificial turf field which is rented by the hour (there are about 8 fields there). I was widely known in the game as the "American" and represented by being the top scorer among 2 all Brazilian teams. 1 of my goals was a "Golaco" which I headed in the upper 90.

I didnt watch too much TV while there but the Sports Cable stations did show many Euro games. I even caught a little NFL Playoffs while there.
