Think about it:
Henry
RVP
Walcott
Adebisi (can't remember his name :D )
Lupoli
and we also have Reyes but he mainly plays wing and also Quincy but he too plays wing if he ain't shipped out in the summer.

Emanuel Adebayor;)
I still find it funny that even though we have so many strikers, we end up having to put a winger up front due to injury. But I suppose that will be a thing of the past with all the new attacking recruitments.
BTW, totrally off-topic, but do new players sometimes find it hard to find friends in the squad, and are sorta loners? LOL

Already has - he's at West Ham no?
Remember Walcott will likely not play many games at first due to his age - think RVP.

This would depend on the personailty of the existing teammates and the personality of the new teammate.

that's exactly what i think. one of my dad's friends who's an arsenal fan was ranting about how he can't wait till march so that walcott can be unleashed, etc. but i don't think it's a good idea to throw him into the deep end at such a tender age (although hahaha he's the same age as i am), it could seriously fk up his development. however, if the boss lets him loose as a sub with tired legs and all, i think that's the best way for him now. this way, if he's not ready to step up to the mark (which i actually think he might be), he can gain experience from the minutes. or if he is ready, then he can explode and we'll live happily ever after.
however, does the arrival of adebayor and walcott mean that the likes of lupoli will get shuffled back in the pecking order?

hahahahahaha :p i'd like to think ppl come out and give them an accepting welcome and try and connect with them. it'd suck if you were at a football club and no one liked you.

Question: How does Walcott fit in under the "homegrown player" rules? Will he qualify?

nah i doubt it, bergkamp will be retireing at the end of the season which will be one space and, in my opinion, henry will be leaving and that will create another opertunity, as no doubt AW wont replace him

What I *expect* to happen once Bergkamp retires is that we will see Henry playing 90 minutes with the likes of v.Persie, Walcott and perhaps Lupoli playing in rotation in chunks of 30-60 minutes, or just rotating playing full games each.
What I *Dont* think will happen is any of the above players playing 90 minutes week in week out.
Of course only time will tell but that my tupence.

How good would it be if we actually had him in midfield? He is from North London..... so you never know!

I think he'll get more time up front than Walcott and will compete with RVP to start next to Henry. Walcott is fine out on the wing and I expect we'll see him there most of the time until he grows a bit. Kind of like a Quincy that scores. ;)
I don't know what to make of Lupoli. He is a terror in the reserves but has looked like a child out of his depth in the couple of first team games I've seen him play. Unless a lot changes by next season, I doubt he'll be in serious competition with RVP and Adebayor. I think the best thing for him would be a year out on loan in the coke league.

I disagree, his problem isn't scoring against weak oppostition (relativly speaking weak as compared to Prem clubs) his problem is doing anything in the prem. I'd suggest loaning him to a club that aren't going to be in a relegation battle, i'd even suggest Everton, or some such club. If he can produce at a average Prem team against the rest of the Prem keep him if not, well he won't be the first striker who can't make it at the top.

Well sure it be ideal if we got some other Prem team to play him as a starter but I doubt that'll happen. Look at the case of Aliadiere. Even when his team had a bit of an injury problem at striker, he got no chance to establish a first team role. Prem teams aren't going to go with a young kid striker unless they have no choice. That is why sending Lupoli to the coke league would be better. The defenses there are physical so he'll get toughened up and there are teams there which will give him a chance for playing time.

This is what I think as well. Adebayor is not a bench player (unless Wenger turns him into one), so along w/ the way van Persie has progressed I expect both of them to battle it out... but I can't help but feel - minus Adebayor implementing to Arsenal and the Prem- he would have the edge on vP out of experience alone.

Heh, if you think we get our balls busted for the ammount of red cards we've had under Wenger now.....
