Not just for your top movies of all time, but for any new movies that come out or any others you want to discuss. :)

Has anyone seen "The New World"? Previews looked decent...

I watched "Bed and Sofa", a Russian black-and-white from the twenties, on Wednesday evening, if anyone would be interested in this sort of thing. :D

Is that a new code phrase for "staring at Masha Sharapova eating banana for 2 hours straight"?

I watched Silence of the Lambs again last night. Even though I've seen it a hundred times, it still scares me to death. There's a window behind my sofa, and I kept getting paranoid, looking back over my shoulder -- I felt like a crazy person.

I think what scares me the most, and this might be a strange, is the scene where the girl is rocking out in her car to Tom Petty and really singing right before she's abducted. I think it scares me, because I do that all the time in my car (Tom Petty's Greatest Hits is actually one of my favorite road trip CDs too). And I would totally help that guy with his sofa, no question. It gives me that feeling that it could happen to me. And most horror movies or thrillers don't give me that feeling at all.

But I do also love the movie because I always find something new in it. Like last night, I noticed that early in Clarice's interview of him, before they ever mention Buffalo Bill, Lecter talks about the Belvedere hotel in Florence, and Belvedere is the name of the town at the end of the film where Clarice catches the guy. So it makes me think that Lecter knows from the very beginning what Crawford wants from him, and he's already starting to toy with everyone. Awesome, just awesome.

I watched Crash last night and was rather dissappointed with it. It got good ratings on imdb, but I thought it wasn't that good at all. :(

I'd recommend the Matador. Its darkly funny, but an enjoyable watch.

I haven't seen it, but if its anything like the first Underworld, I'm sure its worth skipping.

Well, every now and then, the sexed up, CGI-pumped, action over intellect Hollywood movie can be entertaining no?!

I watched Brokeback mountain, and it was pretty good. In particular I really liked the way the story unfolded, and the character acting of Heath Ledger was top notch. What took me by suprise was their first.. "scene".. it just came so suddenly and brutally that I had difficulty watching it initially.

Just watched Gandhi for the first time for one of my English classes. Pretty good, but I think it could have been better if the focus would have been on one portion of his life instead of trying to cover the whole thing. Kingsley was a kick-arse Gandhi though. His performance carried the movie a long way.

Saw "Paradise Now" and "Cache" recently. "Paradise Now" was good, interesting for me to see a well-known subject from a new angle. "Cache" was excellent; disturbing and thought-provoking. No doubt that an American remake would feature a different ending.

I watched "The Football Factory" this weekend. It's about Chelski hoolies and one of them possibly wanting to get out of that lifestyle. It was pretty good.

I watched Capricorn One this weekend with my dad... its a really old movie, but its great for a couple reasons...

one of the guys from the original law and order (i think he's an ADA) is on it and he's young... and OJ Simpson is also in it...

The story line isn't great, but its a conspiracy theory movie and in theory, the conspiracy really could have happened... I enjoyed it alot though...

I also watched Good Will Hunting, which is one of my favorite movies and also a big part of my social life. If you've seen this movie a bunch of times you'll know what I mean when I say: "It's not your fault" which is a line I say to a couple of my friends alot.
