Except it loses it's edge at the end. Why is the "Night of the Living Dead" the only Zombie movie to have a decent ending. One of you film-makers has got to right this horrendous wrong -- Sir Manc?
Actually I enjoyed the ending to "Dawn of the Dead" as well. The only two endings that are continuously used in Zombie movies are a) the happy ending in which at least one character makes it out alive, and b) the quasi-happy ending in which characters make it out alive but a large amount of ambiguity about the whole event is left.
I may be talking out of my ass here, but in the end neither is justified nor does it leave the viewer with satisfaction.
@Saph There's not much more you can do with the ending in a zombie flick, and hopefully one day I'll bring something new to it.

May I suggest a zombie orgy.

Using mercury eye drops is more enjoyable than 'Date Movie'

Thank you so much for not mentioning anything recent. I can't remember when the last good horror movie came out, it's ridiculous. Saw wasn't scary, it was just cashing in on the "sick" factor as all horror movies do nowadays. It has one good scene in the entire movie and if you know anything about it, you'd realize the entire thing was written around it.
My personal fav is The Shining(the last great horror movie now that I think of it)
Dude, check out 'The Descent'.

I haven't seen it, but it looks liek that ultra-slapstick style of teen comedy that has been done to death. It was funny with Scary Movie 1 to an extent, and I will admit a seriously guilty pleasure towards 'Not Another Teen Movie', but it has gotten to the point where you can predict gags are going to happen multiple scenes before they do. The whole point of these movies are to be off-the-wall and to catch you off guard, so when that ceases to happen, the comic edge becomes blunted considerably.
In other words: I think it will be shit.

spot on, and when you come to the U.S., you'll see exactly how the majority of movie goers here aren't aware of this and buy into this crap over and over.....and over again.

Got to see Touch of Evil today, finally. People often lambast this film, saying it has aged terribly, but I have to say I thought it was a quality flick.

no way. It's way too slow paced and not well done at all. Unless that would encourage you to make out or something.

If you appreciate jazz, and like Tim Roth, rent "The Legend of 1900". It's a good quality movie, especially if you like jazz and timmy. :)

Man, it's like a friggin' ghost town on the board today.
Saw "Garam Hawa" last night. The print was poor but the movie was very interesting.

Got a list of movies I'm going to try and catch over spring break including, but not limited to some Oscar winners and some assorted travel-related films.
