So has anyone seen either of these films? I'm eager to hear what other people think of them.

I assume you're asking people other than me.

Umm, no, why would I do that? I just want to hear what other people think of them, specifically Meeting People is Easy.

I value your opinion yoss. :D

Just saw Tokyo Drift. It sucked major culo! BowWow can't act for shite! The cars were not that great and the plot was something a little kid could have come up with. The only good part were some of the girls but thats not sayin much. And who the hell even "drifts"?
Also I saw Running Scared. Maybe the best action film I have ever seen. Tteh fight-scenes were amazing and there was so much killing. YAY! Definately recommend it. The ending was sooo great.

Now that was a nice little movie, technically great, wasn't a fan of the content or the actors but it was well done and very imaginative. Wouldn't call it the greatest action film, maybe you haven't seen Alien, Aliens, Terminator I, Terminator II, Die Hard, or Deliverance, now those are among the best action movies ever.

I saw DiG! last night. I was expecting a good documentary on two bands making their way, and had been eager to see it for about a year, so my expectations were high. They were indeed surpassed. Fantastic documentary that gives a great insight into life for struggling bands, the drinking & drug (ab)use that some of us take and the affects that they can have, just how much of a joke the music industry is (they actually make present-day Hollywood look not only good, but fantastic), and just how sad it can be to see somebody's mind disintegrate in front of your very eyes (in Anton Newcombe). A must see for any fan of movies, documentaries, music, substance (ab)use, and the human condition - incredible stuff. Blows 'No Direction Home' right out of the water, imo.

It was also a bit suprising but ultimately uplifting that the movie was directed by a woman. In a very sexist industry where women are often looked down upon to this very day, Ondi Timoner has done female directors the world over a service with this piece. BTW, I am far from a sympathiser with most feminists (and I often find them to be highly double-standardised), just found it interesting.

Oh, and Joel Gion is perhaps the most interesting, cool, and absolutely morbid character I have witnessed in quite some time.

I'm also pretty psyched about the list of movies I bought the other day and have lined up to watch: Das Boot, Dead Man's Shoes, Three Burials, Delicatessen, The Fog of War (which I might watch tonight), City of Men (a mini-series following up on City of God), and Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring. Should keep me busy, especially as I have yet to find the time to get around to finding the 6.5 hours needed to watch Best of Youth.

Maybe you could just clear your schedule for a day and watch Das Boot and Best of Youth. Just make sure you have 3 things with you; a washroom, popcorn, and Coca-Cola. 11.5 hours for 2 movies a lotta friggin popcorn and coke.

Das Boot is absolutely phenomenal, one of my favorite movies of all time. It's absorbing, and the atmosphere Peterson conjures up here has to be seen to be believed.

Ich finde Fanta prima.

In sweden I had an ice cream bar called 88's. Unreal. Induced an orgasm everytime I had one. Haven't been able to find them over here. I have to settle for orange creamsicles.

When I lived in Austria I always used to eat Red Bull ice cream, that was just unbelievably good. I also drank a lot of Fanta, the real Fanta, and I still do. Normally I don't drink soda, but once or twice a week ain't bad.

I'll have to agree it is very very good for a macrobrew.

Toss an orange slice in with it and it's like an orgy in your mouth.

Tried it, didn't like it as much. Dunno, maybe it was too big, it just tasted extremely citrusy, not like a whit is supposed too.
